    1. I suspect I am not the only one who feeds them. Someone’s kitchen is still open :)

    1. It is difficult but I am more worried about going out there one night and seeing the beseeching look from a big old black bear, lol!

  8. Haha I always put out a small amount of bird food even in summer as I will never get any photos without food to attract them. Mostly they do not eat much anyway when it is hot.
I hope all is well, sorry I have been so slow this year, buying the adjoining property as kept us more than busy with restoration! Cheers Diane

  11. We tried that but found the raccoons and foxes were coming earlier and earlier :) also we have both had health issues this year and it has been a bit more difficult and harder to keep up. So looking forward to the Fall in more ways than one.

  15. I often ask that question, "why?" haha. The mourning dove is precious, and I just took some pics of his relative, the Eurasian Collared Dove. His song is so gentle and one of my favorite birds. That's a great picture of the squirrel!

    1. I must have definitely been in projection mode when putting this post together :) I remember the Eurasian Collard Dove on my west coast trips. Such a sweet sound. I rather like that squirrel picture myself, lol! Thank you Sheri, I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
