"Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy..."
I found these flowers at the garden. They always remind me of little orbs of sunshine, and it started me thinking about this beautiful John Denver song. I have been playing it a lot today. His voice sets him apart. I love listening to him and the lyrics are timeless.
Died so young! Are these wild sunflowers? SO sunny and cheerful!
ReplyDeleteYes he did, very sad but he left us his incredible music. What a legacy, still bringing joy. My plant app says it is a Jerusalem artichoke, but I have just read Linda’s comment and her app said they were Woodland sunflowers. I will check it out before I post about them again. Thanks Ginny :)
DeleteHow true! There ain't much sunshine last few days...lots of rain and very cloudy. I want my Vitamin D, Sunshine!!

DeleteSunshine makes us all happy. There is nothing to compare with leaving the house early on a cold frosty morning to go for a walk, and when the sun comes up feeling the rays bring warmth. That is absolutely my favourite kind of morning.
ReplyDeleteWhat you describe is absolutely idyllic David. Lovely thoughts to start my day. Thank you :)

DeleteThis is a good time of year to think of John Denver songs. The song you mentioned makes me think of spring. Poems, Prayers, and Promises is my fall song. It somehow just fits fall for me.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely Rose :) I know your fall song. Must look that up. Thank you!
DeleteI posted some similar flowers today. My app thinks they are Woodland sunflowers.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the ID Linda :)
