GLEN BURNIE GARDENS IN WINCHESTER, VIRGINIA - 9-17-24 - PART 1

We made a trip back to Glen Burnie as we felt like a ride today (9/17/24). There was thick cloud cover, and we knew it was going to rain later, with more over the next several days. But we thought we might be lucky if we started out early enough. This is a planter that I am always drawn to. It has two dragon handles on each side as you can see.  More photos next time as I am tuckered out and am off to bed early.

Thanks for looking and as always, I hope your day is a great one.

  1. I love these dragon handles, and you got great details! This deserves it's own post anyway! Looks like maybe Coleus in it? Thanks for the bits and bobs answer! We always used to say odds and ends.

    1. Strangely for me I haven’t looked it up yet, but I think you are right Ginny. You are very welcome for the answer :) I dare say where I grew up, further north it may have been called something else.

    1. You are so kind Jennifer, thank you my friend :) That’s wonderful about your apple picking. I saw their signs. I hope you get to the garden also and am glad you are going to try on the weekend. It is closed on Monday, including the museum next door.

  23. I've enjoyed your visit to this garden. I like the name Glen Burnie. It sounds like there are some glades and woody places beyond the formal areas. The vistas are appealing. I hope you slept well.

Thank you so for taking the time to leave a comment. I enjoy reading them very much and always try to return a visit. As I do monitor comments it may take a while for them to appear, even quite late depending on what is going on and how much time I am able to spend on the computer.

I appreciate all who look at my blog, but I won't be publishing any businesses. If you are only able to publish anonymously, would you sign your name please, and leave an addy so I can return your visit where possible? Thank you!
