I wrote all about Queen Anne's Lace at this post. Whenever I see it blooming I always take photos. I don't have to go too far to see these. All the information about this flower you can find at the above link.
Next come the Black-eyed Susans. I shared the following photo that I turned into art, which you can see here.
And another from the same area at this link where I share info about the Lazy Susans.
I love the look of Lazy Susans.
This is a favorite photo of one of the windows at the visitor center. Those aren't birds flying around as I first thought. I took a quick look from a little distance away. They are stickers to safeguard our feathered friends.
Not sure what the next one is. My plant app gave me another name. I rarely find myself doubting them but as I didn't have much surrounding for them to clue in on, leaves and whatnot, my Doubting Thomas radar kicked in. They told me it was Western-purslane. I don't think so. Who knows, it could even be a coneflower! Maybe one of our more knowledgeable blogging friends will be able to give its form a correct identification. That's all for today.
Thank you for visiting and I hope your week is going well.
The Visitor's Center is an awesome building, as well!
ReplyDeleteI agree Ginny and have often said how lovely it would be to have a home like that. I really do love these old places :)
DeleteThank you for this bouquet. And thanks to the Visitor's Centre for those stickers.
ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome Sue and so glad you enjoyed. Yes, thank you people at the center for taking care of their birds :)
DeleteOh this was a wonderful wander about. Could it be some sort of thistle? You have roused my curiosity. Aloha!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly was Cloudia. It does look like a thistle doesn't it? :)
DeleteWhat a wonderful place. I like how they put stickers on the windows.
ReplyDeleteI've always liked the looks of queen anne's lace
Thanks Ann, it certainly is and me too :) The Queen Anne’s Lace is so delicate.
DeleteBeautiful flowers!

Hi Donna, I agree :) Thank you, hugs from me too.
DeleteI like that last photo, the perspective of the house is what I like so much. the second queen annes lace looks like a beautiful snowflake. not sure what that flower is and I like the stickers on the windows, great idea and its a beauitufl photo
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the house in the background too and agree about the snow flake. Glad you enjoyed Sandra, thank you :)
DeleteBeautiful flowers and a lovely visitor center. Take care, have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteThank you Eileen, you too :)
DeleteAll is looking very nice there Denise.
ReplyDeleteI thought so too Margaret :)
DeleteAlthough your post is not about the house in the background, but I love that house. The steep pitched roof, the stonework, and finally that flowered landscaping. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love the house too :) It's my kind of house, along with their flower beds in front.
DeleteMy favorite is the brown eyed Susan.
ReplyDeleteI can see why Red, it's a beautiful flower :)
DeleteIt's always lovely seeing through your camera lens, Denise. Such great shots of the Queen Anne's Lace opening and in full bloom. The bird stickers on the windows are such a good idea to protect the birds. We have a bank of windows with panes that the birds fly into frequently. Sometimes they sadly don't make it. I hope your week is going well, my friend.
ReplyDeleteSo happy you think so Martha Ellen, I feel the same way when looking at others' views. Always interesting to see what they see :) I put stickers up but the birds still occasionally fly into the glass. It's mostly doves nowadays but fortunately there have been no unhappy endings. They leave a few feathers behind and fly back up into the trees.
DeleteI like the flowers in your area. Always a pleasure. That bird sticker on the window was a cool idea. Looks real.
ReplyDeleteThat's great gigi :) I feel the same way when we come your way. Those stickers are perfect for their job aren't they?
DeleteMy parents used such stickers in their own windows.
ReplyDeleteThey must have been bird lovers William :)
DeleteYou know I love anything about flowers.I've always like black-eyed Susan - they're cheery.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree Carol :)
DeleteThese are all pretty but I love the black eyed Susans with the building faded in the background.
ReplyDeleteThat's my favorite too Jeanie :)
DeleteThe garden is so nice and beautiful. Great angles for the shots too
ReplyDeleteThank you Roentare :)
