We have been passing this building for a long time, and I have always wanted to take a closer look. I asked Gregg if he could pull in so that I could take photos today, which he did.
I didn't see the artist's name and I couldn't find any information online.
Also, there was no clear path up to the building, and new mulch had been laid down. I didn't want to tread on any new plants that hadn't shown themselves yet.
No name today unfortunately.
I will keep looking just in case anything pops up.
A very nice side trip to see up close.
Thanks for looking and I hope your week is going well.
What a gorgeous mural. thank you.
ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome Sue, very happy you enjoyed it :)
DeleteQuite a find! It is really beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt was right on the main road but we always kept missing it as it's a busy road. I'm really glad we pulled off today :)
DeleteI absolutely love that mural! Right up my alley! I have to say it is one of the best ones I have seen. :)
ReplyDeleteIt has always appealed to me too Rita, we are walking up the same alley :) and I agree with you. Maybe it's because we love nature so much?
DeletePretty mural, looks lovely. Take care, enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteThank you Eileen, glad you think so and you take care and enjoy your day too :)
DeleteI LOVE THIS! the 2nd and 3rd are my favorites, awesome art, wish I could do that on my kitchen wall. bob doesn't allow wall paper, and there is some awesome wall paper, I pushed down on photo 2 and searched with lens, it found curtains and drapes and wall art and wallpaper, but no name, tried searching with bliss nails but don't know the name of your town, try that. I would love to know the artist name.
ReplyDeleteI thought you would Sandra :) I'd like them on my kitchen wall too :) Thanks for looking it up for me. It's in Fairfax but I tried a pretty lengthy search and came up with similar but not the same. I haven't given up yet and will do as Donna suggested and check into the nail store sometime. Thanks again!
DeleteLovely murals, so beautifully executed.

ReplyDeleteExactly Margaret, I love a mural to look real :) You are very welcome to the share, and always glad you enjoy these things.
DeleteWhat a fabulous mural that is. It sure makes quite an impact on the building. Whoever painted that did a fantastic job. I'm glad you got Gregg to stop so you could take pictures.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is Ann, it would be a boring old building without the mural. I'm glad they hired someone to brighten it up. I can't tell you how many times I have said we should stop and take photos :) Problem is the traffic was always hectic and we always had somewhere else to go, and the moment passed. The stars were aligned this time, lol!
DeleteWhat a beautiful thing to do! I just love it. Very tastefully done.
ReplyDeleteA perfect description Gigi, thank you :)

Hello Jan, thank you, so glad you enjoyed and all the best to you too :)
DeleteThe mural is so eye-catching and lovely, Denise, especially when the leaves on the nearby trees are not yet in bloom.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree Penelope, couldn't have put it better myself. Thank you :)
DeleteThese murals on the side of shopping centers and/or establishments are quite creative and are becoming more and more popular!! I like this one!
ReplyDeleteWe see them in a lot of places here too Jennifer. This is my favorite as there's one not too far away that I don't know what it is looking at it. I'm puzzled every time I go by it. On these occasions I wish I could talk to the artist to see if I could understand it better :)
DeleteNice
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine :)
DeleteLove all those ferns. I'm hoping to add more to one of my shade garden beds this spring.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds lovely Marcia, I have been thinking of doing the same thing :)
