HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE - A CARDINAL WITH THE MUNCHIES

Only one photo today, the cousin of the cardinal from yesterday's post, eating a tasty seedling perhaps. I will be sharing more from our trip to Huntley Meadows (Friday the 3rd). Our last visit was in January. I have a post here if you would like to take a look, or maybe you have seen it and wouldn't mind another look at Canada Geese photos and a poem.

It was a glorious day on our latest visit and we had a wonderful walk, not too hot with a lovely breeze. It was a good job we chose Friday because yesterday, (Saturday the 4th) it was raining all day. We have more rainy days to follow. It is also on the chilly side and from 80 plus degrees Fahrenheit to 55 degrees Fahrenheit (yesterday), with similar temperatures all week. I am certainly not moaning. We will get the sweaters back out, for a short spell hopefully, and it will be a good time to do inside chores and restart the downsizing. No gallivanting off to the gardens!

Thanks for the visit and I hope your day is a great one.

  2. Of course we have the same weather here. I noticed that today is to be the coldest of the coming week. We had to turn the heat on, even in the car. Rain all week, too! What a handsome Cardinal!!

    1. They truly are and you are very welcome. Thank you for the encouragement on our major task in hand. It's amazing the things one collects but we've been here a long time so not surprising. Just should have gotten rid of it all sooner :) Ah well, now is the time.

  7. Great photo of the cardinal enjoying a meal, Denise. I also went back and read that outstanding poem and took a look see again at your lovely photos of the geese. Yes, inside chores are calling us for the days ahead. Don't work too hard, my friend.

    1. So happy you enjoyed him Martha Ellen, and that you also enjoyed my old post :) Well, we did our first bit of downsizing with the help of our son today. He came over and his Dad recruited him, ha! He says he will be back on Thursday to help some more. I will try not to gather too much momentum and thanks for the advice - reading your last sentence - things get a bit wobbly when I forget to slow down :)
