HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE - EASTERN BLUE BIRD AND BABY

These are not the best photos. It was a rainy day and I do so wish there was sunshine on these two.  I had to brighten them up a bit as they were very dark. I also only had a few seconds to take their photo...

because mama was gone and then baby flew off into the trees after her. He really looked a little confused.

I heralded my first baby bird this year. Such a heartwarming sight. They both looked a bit bedraggled with the rain. These are Eastern Bluebirds. The bluebirds have only just started coming back to the garden.

You can read about them if you go to this link.

Thanks for the visit and
I hope your day is a great one.

  2. The open-mouthed bird needs food to grow or affection if confused.
    I really liked the photosDenise.
That's what I was thinking today,
should I choose a photo that is technically good or one that wasn't so clean but had a story to tell?
Of course I chose the one that was a bit blurry but would speak to the audience!
    Have a nice Week!

  7. I would not have guessed that as a Eastern Bluebird, they look so much different than our Mountain Bluebirds

  10. Lucky you! I would be happy with getting to photograph them. Our neighbors have bluebirds, and they sit on the fence...except when I get my camera out and then I never see them.

  16. You always take the best bird photos, Denise. I never get them when their mouths are wide open like that. I have been seeing lots of birds this Spring, especially the California Quail and the precious Eurasian Collared Doves. I always enjoy your delightful bird posts, my friend.

    1. Sweet of you to say Sheri. I was lucky this day considering how dull it was and I got a great memory of that sweet little bird. I would love to see the California Quail again, and those Eurasian Collared Doves. Must visit California again. Thank you my friend :)
