A Flower is a Flower
I did not bring you roses
When you searched for something rare,
Instead I brought you daisies
And I hoped you wouldn't care;
And now I look behind me
With a wistful little smile -
You would have taken dandelions
And loved me all the while.

DeleteI just love this poem!! Most of the Blanket Flowers here are yellow with red in the center. These are different; red! So pretty, almost exotic looking. And I see the bumble bee! Maybe even two!
ReplyDeleteI have seen the variety you mentioned Ginny. They are very pretty too. They seem to attract a lot of bumblebees. Glad you enjoyed the poem :)

ReplyDeleteI love all flowers but do have my favorites. Roses used to be at the top of the list but since I have been discovering all kinds of flowers/wildflowers in blogging, I now have many :)
