WORD OF THE DAY

From Oxford Languages, "used to encourage or draw attention to the performance of some physical, especially acrobatic, feat."  In this case Mr. Squirrel giving a ten-out-of-ten performance while on the balance beam, after hearing yet another dinner bell in the next garden.

"Alleyoop Mr. Squirrel, Alleyoop!"

Next word of the day, "Motivation".

    1. Thank you Linda, they most always seem full of joy, unless they are telling each other off and shaking their tails :)

  4. They sure are entertaining to watch. I remember them cleaning out my bird feeder quite frequently.

    1. I agree, they certainly are :) I now say "Let's remember to put the seed out for the birds and the squirrels." Lately, they won't eat the smaller seed in the mix, so the birds seem to get their fair share.

    1. Me too Anni and how I wish I had that stamina :) I do pretty good on determination. Or as hubs would say, "When she gets a bee in her bonnet...", lol!

  6. AlleyOop is quite the word for that shot. Of course I'm of a certain age and it also is the name of an old cartoon strip about the cave man, Alley Oop.

    1. Hi Diane, yes, when they start burrowing into the rafters for winter, it can be a pain. Or at least I hear as that has never happened to us. I hope I haven't jinxed myself ;)
