A QUOTE FOR YOU TODAY

Merced River (Yosemite National Park) California 2017

Life is your art. An open, aware heart is your camera. A oneness with your world is your film. Your bright eyes, your easy smile is your museum.

  9. I wonder what Ansel Adams would think of our digital cameras and no film and all the beautiful photos that we can take with our cell phones

    1. I wonder too Sandra :) I once took a weekend photography class and the instructor was old school (nothing wrong with that of course). He did not like the new digital era but that's been years ago. Maybe he has a different opinion now. This was when they were first being introduced.

  11. When we went to Yosemite, we stayed at a hotel on the Merced. It was so loud overnight. Hypnotic. But definitely loud! Ansel Adams is such a huge part of Yosemite. I love this quote. Thank you.

    1. Sounds wonderful, listening to water can be very hypnotic :) Thanks for sharing that Jeanie. I wonder which hotel that was? We are hoping to stay within the park next time we go, whenever that may be. I think we will have to book a year in advance to get a room from what I hear.

  16. What a delightful quote. You know, when I took a black and white photography class, they asked us who our favorite photographer was, and I mentioned Ansel Adams, so this quote spoke to me right away. : )
