Mr. House Finch recognizes that he is a silly bird and is going to keep his beak shut next time. I told the same thing to Mr. Chipmunk years ago, when Mrs. Chipmunk took a bite out of his tail when he answered the same question. Birds just need to be a little more diplomatic. Beaks must remain closed. "It's a trap Admiral Akbar, it's a trap!" At least that's what Camera Man says to Camera Lady when she asks him questions that he doesn't think he should answer. Family joke! This hasn't come up in a very long time but...
Mrs. Dark-eyed Junco agrees, Mr. House Finch needs to be more diplomatic. Mr. Dark-eyed Junco already learned this over many years.
And so it goes on another Saturday Morning at the Bird feeder, where we want to wish you all a very happy weekend and to thank you for visiting today.
Awww... They're all so pretty. I haven't seen a junco in such a long time.
ReplyDeleteThe Junco is posing for you! He does have a lovely profile! And a crow as well!! You are getting more variety for the winter!
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm glad to know it's not just the humans having trouble with political correctness. Cute. Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteA very lovely Saturday at the poultry farm!
ReplyDeleteLife carries on as usual in the new year!
Have a nice weekend Deniseš§”
Thanks for the smiles. And some questions are indeed traps.
ReplyDeleteI love your birdy friends and the conversations. I'm starting the day with a smile. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteFun post, love the photos and the captions. My favorite is the Junco.
ReplyDeleteTake care, have a wonderful weekend.
The smart Mr.'s know when to not answer questions. Not all Mr.'s are smart though.
ReplyDeleteWishing you and your loved ones a very happy and healthy New Year, Denise! Haha ... seems like a bird feeder is much like a water cooler is to humans who chatter. :)
ReplyDeleteI am happy to hear that it is the male birds that don't think before they answer that question, just like human males who suffer the same problem. I love that first shot of the black bird, looks like dressed for a party... I just see Ann says not all Mr's are smart enough, and I disagree, that there are no smart men who will keep their mouths shut when asked that question
ReplyDeletemy comment just brought to mind, way back when my 58 year old son Dan, was 14, I came out all dressed to go out somewhere and he said Mom, are you wearing that dress?? I wore it out and never wore it again. can't remember what it looked like but never forgot the comment.
ReplyDeleteAn imaginary friend can be a great comfort!
ReplyDeleteA fun blog, well done. Keep warm, cheers Diane
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun Saturday entry! Love that dark-eyed junco.
ReplyDeleteCool post!
ReplyDelete"Actually, I'm real"
ReplyDeleteThat made me smile :)
Fun! Happy Saturday
ReplyDeleteThe trap reference made me laugh along with the bird banter Denise! Camera Lady does it again. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday to you. I can always count on you for my Saturday morning giggles.
ReplyDeleteJuncos are such an elegant little bird. Just seems they would naturally not be rude. ;)
ReplyDeleteAh, the age-old wisdom of beak diplomacy! Mr. House Finch should consider himself lucky—at least his tail is intact. I suppose Mr. Chipmunk learned the hard way that some questions are best left unanswered. Admirable restraint, Mr. House Finch
ReplyDeleteImagine if we had feathers instead of fur. Would we be as beautiful as this?
ReplyDeleteHmm...I meant to say hair, not fur.
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely Saturday post Denise and many thanks for the link ...great film(s)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend.
All the best Jan
It's fun to watch the birds and then their actions and think what they might be saying or thinking.
ReplyDeleteEl pajarito del fina me enamoro. Te mando un beso.
