A FEW FLOWERS FOR YOU - FROM MY ARCHIVES

On this third day of January, I would once again like to wish you all A Very Happy New Year, one filled with joyful experiences.

These were taken at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens and from my archives.  The butterfly bush was found in one part of the garden and is a native to central China. It migrated to the Americas and Asia, evolving into over 140 species.

The others were in the area where they grow only native plants of Virginia. I have left links on each name, to take you to websites with more information.

I hope you have enjoyed a memory of summer. Looks like we will be getting snow a couple of days this week. Stay warm!

  1. We have all of these here, except the Cardinal Flower and the Obedient Plant. This Obedient Plant is really something else! It looks like it would be only cultivated in a greenhouse.
