I LOVE this! I always enjoy it when you caption the critters, it is so cute. So the raccoons don't stay all year?? I did not know that!
Hi Ginny, raccoons are not true hibernators, and stay active year-round. However, they do spend most of the winter sleeping in their dens. Their bodies shut down and will go into a deep slumber for a month to six weeks at a time. They also don’t migrate to milder climes but will find a nice warm den to sleep in and stay put. Just wishful thinking on the cardinal’s part :)
Thank you Ashok :)
Thanks for the smiles. You have a wonderful weekend too.
You are very welcome Sue and thank you :) the same to you also.
These are great Denise and one of my favourite is that male Northern Cardinal to look at as I've never seen one but love their colour.
Happy you enjoyed Margaret, thank you :) The male cardinal is a favorite of mine. His wife is beautiful too with her colors more muted and delicate.
So cute the dialogue you have imbued these images with fun and humour.
Thank you Roentare :) so glad you enjoyed.
The cardinal looks gorgeous! And a fun conversation :-)
Hi Angie, thank you :) and so happy you thought this conversation was fun.
Cute!! Reminds me of the comic "family circle" when the kids would always say "it wasn't me" when something was broken.
Thank you Anni, that sounds like a fun comic :) a little slice of life.
I just read about it here Anni. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Family_Circus
Ya...circus! Why I typed circle is beyond me. Or was it auto-correct?
With all the things I get changed, I'd say it was auto correct Anni, but truthfully I didn't even notice the difference. Just shows how observant I am.
This is cute. I'm not completely convinced that Mr Squirrel is totally innocent.
Thank you Ann, I am not convinced either :)
My favorite bird. 😊
Mine also Sandi :) Thank you!
From the looks of the Invader that looks so cute I am thinking that soon the suet cakes will decide to disappear quickly again
Thank you Sandra, I have a feeling you are correct :)
There are a few culprits who steal from feeders. they are "pesky".
There will always be the pesky ones won’t there Red :) Thank you!
Thank you Anne :)
What a fun post, love the photos and captions. Have a great weekend.
Happy you think so Eileen, you have a great weekend also :)
I love, love, love this! You made me laugh - thank you!
And you made me happy reading that Carol. Thank you :)
But the squirrel is too cute not to be believed.
Ah yes, but it’s all in the eyes William 👀. At least that’s what me dear old dad used to tell me, lol! :)
I always enjoy your conversations with your backyard friends, Denise! If I were you I'd have to be careful with the squirrel. They are cunning and so cute they can convince me of anything!
So glad Martha Ellen, and yes, cunning indeed :) Thank you!
Fun photos and captions. Well done. Have a good Sunday, cheers Diane
