or at least right next to it.
And so it goes, on a Saturday Morning at the Bird Feeder.

What a little cutie he is.
Totally agree, thank you Ann :)
We moved to our new house in April this year and we get squirrels at our bird feeders. We lived in our old house over twenty eight years and only saw them in the garden a handful of times. They can be pests but I think their cuteness outweighs all that.
Hi Jo, they can be but I agree with you. I have grown rather fond of them. I also have seen their personalities emerge :)
So adorable! How come the squirrels I have seen over here are all brown. This one is gray...
We have the grey ones in our area. I have only seen a black squirrel once, others when I visited Canada. Also a couple of albino squirrels but this has been many years ago. Our Eastern Gray Squirrels are abundant :)
Cute photos, the squirrels and captions are adorable. Have a great weekend!
Thank you Eileen, glad you liked them and you have a great weekend also :)

So cute. So, do you have any suspicions of who DID chew it?

Hello. I have never seen a squirrel relaxing like this one. Thanks for sharing.
Hello Roughterrain Crane. You are very welcome and thank you. I often see them relaxing like this one, especially when the sun is shining :)
Very cute! Have a lovely Sunday
Thank you Ashok, have a lovely Sunday also :)
This was a very sweet conversation between you and this young squirrel, Denise. Enjoy your weekend.
Thank you Dorothy, and you enjoy your weekend also :)
Oh Denise, you are so patient with these squirrels. I am not. I always shooooo them away when I see them in my front yard. But lately, I have felt badly for them, as it is so cold here in the mountains, and they are just trying to survive. But they do scare me a bit, so I don't get close to them at all. Your "morning at the bird feeder" posts always delight me.Have a peaceful Sunday.~Sheri
Thank you Sheri, and I do understand that squirrels are not everyone's favorite :) I don't get close to them either, because they are after all wild and I don't want them to get habituated to us. They do run when we go out onto the deck and I always think that's a good thing. Glad you enjoy my bit of whimsy. When a friend's children were very young, I would make up these little 'shows' to read them when they visited and they always loved them, so I continue the tradition for others. I've realized that even us adults enjoy them and for that I am very grateful :) I certainly enjoy putting them together.
How fun to see the antics of the squirrels out your window. Fun photos and captions.
Thanks Ellen, happy you enjoyed :)
Thank you so for taking the time to leave a comment. I enjoy reading them very much and always try to return a visit.
