We visited here recently. It was as beautiful and as serene as ever. It is always a time of reflection, of remembering loved ones, and honoring those who rest in this sacred place.

Thank you so for taking the time to leave a comment. I enjoy reading them very much and always try to return a visit. As I do monitor comments it may take a while for them to appear, even quite late depending on what is going on and how much time I am able to spend on the computer.
I appreciate all who look at my blog, but I won't be publishing any businesses. If you are only able to publish anonymously, would you sign your name please, and leave an addy so I can return your visit where possible? Thank you!

Cemeteries often are both beautiful and consoling places...
ReplyDeleteI agree Sue, and peaceful :)
DeleteWonderful photos. And I see the tombstones are laid out in a lovely pattern.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful Ginny and so well taken care of. A big shout out to the folks who are responsible for that. They work very hard! :)
DeleteIt looks almost like a park..very beautiful photos, Denise.
ReplyDeleteThank you Angie, people come here from all over the world :) Fortunately we have a car pass so that we can visit loved ones. We have 20 people, family and friends, who have been laid to rest here.
DeleteOh my how beautiful is that..thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome Margaret, and thank you :)
DeleteIt's been years since I've been here. Hallowed ground. I was most impressed by the eternal flame of Kennedy"s site.
ReplyDeleteThanks Anni, you have reminded me that I need to go back again to see it. I also want to go back to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. It's where we go whenever we have out-of-town visitors. It is beautiful up there The soldiers who solemnly stand guard and slowly go back and forth do us proud.
DeleteUm belo e verdejante cemitério.

ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful cemetery. Lovely photos. Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead.
Thank you Eileen, I wish you the same :)
DeleteSo sad.
ReplyDeleteI remember the first time I visited 46 years ago. I have been back several times over the years, and now that we have had a permanent home in this area, we visit at special times during the year.
DeleteIt is so hauntingly beautiful. God rest their souls.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully put Latane, thank you :)
DeleteLest we forget
ReplyDeleteIndeed Christine :)
DeleteI have seen it once, but was only 8 years old, so only a vague memory. it is awe inspiring just seeing your photos
ReplyDeleteSuch a nice thing to say Sandra, thank you :) I am glad you have that memory, as vague as you say it is now.
DeleteSuch an amazing cemetery and place for reflection. Beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ellen, and it certainly is :)
DeleteTo miejsce zadumy nad rozwijającym czasem. Niech Bóg ma ich w opiece.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lucyna :) Unfortunately Google Translate isn't working today but I hope to visit in the next few days and leave you a message.
DeleteWhat a beautiful cemetery this is, lovely photographs.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Thank you Jan and all the best to you also :)
DeleteThat's nice that you had a visit at this cemetery, Denise. The pink blossom tree standing is so pretty. I've always thought that the cemetery was a peaceful place. I really miss visiting the one in my hometown, but my brother reassures me that he puts flowers on our parent's site from time to time.
ReplyDeleteHave a pleasant week.

I'm glad your brother lives closer to your family cemetery Sheri. I hope to visit mine one day. In the meantime, we live not so far away from Arlington, and visit family here, and friends a few times during the year.
DeleteIt is a beautiful setting.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, thank you William :)
DeleteMy grandfather is buried there.
ReplyDeleteDo you ever get out there Linda to visit your Grandfather Linda? We live a lot closer than you do, so we go pay our respects to my in-laws on special holidays.
DeleteRick's uncle is buried there. I've always wanted to visit.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get to see Rick's uncle's resting place one day Jeanie :)
