“Finland is officially the world’s happiest country. It is also 75 per cent forest. I believe these facts are related.”

Thank you so for taking the time to leave a comment. I enjoy reading them very much and always try to return a visit. As I do monitor comments it may take a while for them to appear, even quite late depending on what is going on and how much time I am able to spend on the computer.
I appreciate all who look at my blog, but I won't be publishing any businesses. If you are only able to publish anonymously, would you sign your name please, and leave an addy so I can return your visit where possible? Thank you!
Hello,
ReplyDeleteLove the image and the quote. Take care, enjoy your new week!
Hi Eileen, so glad and I wish you the same :)
DeleteI could be happy surrounded by a forest.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ann, I am always happy and relaxed walking through trees :)
DeleteHmmm, happiest is always in Europe. I find that interesting.
ReplyDeleteMe too Anni, me too :)
DeleteI think a number of the Scandi countries have a very high percentage of "happiness." But then, they have so many services for which they are taxed but also that take the burdens off of daily life. I would support that -- if we had the same, I would be happier too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeanie :) I would be interested in learning more about Finland.
DeleteGood for Finland.
ReplyDeleteYes, I would like to go there one day :)
Deleteforest does make a difference but I think the reason the are the happiest is they are the most sparsely populated in europe. lack of people makes me happier
ReplyDeleteBeing an introvert and definitely not a crowd person myself, I can see your point Sandra :)
DeleteI can appreciate that.
ReplyDeleteMe too William :)
DeleteAnd every home, even each apartment, has its own sauna ;>) (at least in the city where our grandson and his wife lived when they were there, according to what he told us.) He said also that the children go outside to play at recess every single day even if it is below freezing.. Also people seem to read a lot which I seriously think along with the forest and getting outside would truly contribute to the national happiness. (But as for me I hate to be cold, so I think I'll stay right where I am!)
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful your grandson and his wife were there Sallie :) Learning about other countries is so very interesting.
DeleteThe forest is important to us who are used to moving in the forest. But there are a lot of people who don't move in the woods.
ReplyDeleteGood points Anne :)
Deleteoooooh those facts are definitely related!! i love the first picture, it's so whimsical!!!
ReplyDeleteI liked it too Debbie, love a touch of whimsy :) And whenever I am among trees, I find myself very happy.
DeleteIsn't that something. I didn't know much of the area was forest. Maybe that's why they're so happy. There's peace and calmness in the forest. : )
ReplyDelete~Sheri
I love learning these things Sheri, even at this stage of my life. Hope I never stop. Peace and calmness indeed :)
DeleteI completely understand this would be true, Denise! Being among nature sure sends my happy meter forward.
ReplyDeleteYes indeed Martha Ellen :) I like you saying happy meter, I will have to remember that.
DeleteLove that top image of the girl and reindeer.
ReplyDeleteSo glad GGG! :) Thank you!
