BIRD CAM PHOTOS

There isn't much sunshine in these photos.  We have had a few dreary days and it started snowing at 3.00 a.m. yesterday.  The birds didn't seem to mind the rain and they were out in the snow.  It stopped snowing in the afternoon and there were blue skies.  If my photos come out okay I will share a few.

Two friendly birds, the male Downy Woodpecker and a Mourning Dove, Fred and Albert.

Female House Finch with a Dove further down the rail.

Male and Female Housefinch

Male and female Housefinch with a male Northern Cardinal.

Here is the female Northern Cardinal.

A pair of Tufted Titmouse

These are the things that take my interest.  The back of the Tufted Titmouse's head (on the right).  A Dark-eyed Junco is further up on the rail.

Male Cardinal and American Goldfinch.

And I am finishing off with the pair of friendly birds from my first photo, without the speech bubbles - the male Downy Woodpecker and the Mourning Dove.

That's all for today.  Thanks for looking and I hope you are all having a good start to the New Year.

  1. They all seem to be getting along well together. I think the back of the Titmouse head is really interesting!

    1. Thanks Ginny, the way its head feathers shape into one large peak and one smaller peak is fascinating.

    1. We do Carol, they get a bit too close at times and it's comical how some seem to hear a barely audible click from the shutter, and maybe they see the lights also. Thank you and you have a happy 2022 also :)

  17. Oh, that red cardinal is such a beauty. You know, it is a dream of mine to see the red cardinal in person. We don't see them here in California, or at least where I've lived. ; ) Nice of you to feed the birds. I would like to do that also, but I don't want the squirrels coming around and taking their food. I do not like the squirrels haha.

    1. I hope you get to see a Cardinal one day Sheri :) Yes I know, if you feed the birds you have to feed the squirrels. Nuf said, haha! Totally understand!
