LILY PADS

"You only see the top of a lily, but if you pull the lily pad out of the water, it has roots and tangled weeds and all the stuff that comes with it."

"Like a duck on the pond. On the surface everything looks calm, but beneath the water those little feet are churning a mile a minute."

  2. Hello Denise,
Oh how true, when young we had a reasonable sized pond in the garden with Lily pads, a pleasant reminder, thank you.
    Best wishes ,

  6. Love water lilies. We used to have them when we had the fish pond outside. All now gone.

    1. Life is a roller coaster, not a boring old merry-go-round. Would you like to ride a roller coaster or a boring old merry-go-round, never going anywhere? I saw that somewhere also. Saw that years ago and it has stuck with me, and I still wonder about the answer :)
