It is hard to believe that it has been a whole year since we went on our Alaska trip. We started in Vancouver and had a couple of days before everyone else arrived. In a local ice-cream shop we met this delightful couple we shared a table with. It was one of those encounters when you meet friendly strangers who make the holiday a little extra special.
These photos are a bit blurry but you can read my post again here, where I also share many other photos from our time in Vancouver.
Hello, it is fun meeting new people and friends while traveling. Great photos from your Alaska trip! Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy new week ahead!
ReplyDeleteHi Eileen, I agree wholeheartedly. Thank you and I wish the same for you :)
DeleteI do remember you posting about your Alaska trip, a year does go by fast.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly does Christine :)
DeleteI had forgotten about your wonderful trip! Isn't it nice that Facebook reminds this of our special moments?
ReplyDeleteYes, it's a good reminder. I should try going back to it again.
DeleteTime flies when you are having fun and it seems to go faster and faster as one gets older!!!! Enjoy your week, Diane
ReplyDeleteI agree with that too Diane :) Have a great week!
DeleteHappy Cinco de Mayo!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sandi, you too :)
DeleteHi Denise,
ReplyDeleteHow good it is to meet up with strangers who turn out to be friendly. Had to have a look back at the post from Alaska, great to have another read and also read my comment, my how time flies.
All the best, John
Hi John, always seems to be that way. Glad you enjoyed the old post again, yes how time flies :)
DeleteWhere did that year go? If asked I would have said it was a couple of months ago that I read about your wonderful trip.
ReplyDeleteI was saying that only the other day EC. In many ways it feels only a couple of months that we were there :)
DeleteHard to believe it has been a whole year. time is fleeing faster and faster. seems like just a few months.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandra, it certainly doesn't seem like a year for us either :)
DeleteI agree, it's lovely to meet kind folks when traveling. There are such nice folks all over the world. I'll have to visit your trip to Alaska. I'm sure you enjoyed a wonderful visit!
ReplyDeleteThank you Martha Ellen, it is very heartening to meet these people. I look forward to the time you visit Alaska. For us it was a once in a lifetime experience.
DeleteI know exactly what you are talking about. A couple weeks ago my wife and I were at a local park checking things out and were asked by a couple if we were locals by another couple who were from out of town. They asked a few questions but we ended up having about a 30 minute conversations about our favorite gardens and turns out we had seen a lot of the same sights. A great way to spend some time.
ReplyDeleteHi Yogi, I enjoyed reading about the nice couple you met. A great way to spend some time indeed :)
DeleteI loved reading about that trip!
ReplyDeleteThat makes me happy Sallie :)
DeleteA good memory to have.
ReplyDeleteVery much so William, thank you :)
