I haven't seen these in a long time but recently they started visiting again. First one, then two and then the whole family. If you would like to learn more about them click here.
Also sharing a couple of videos from the deck cam. (Just to remind you that I have no say in what pops up afterwards - advertising and new videos.)
If you look at the end of the rail near where the birdhouse feeder is, you will see a squirrel standing its ground, if a little bit out of the way.
Love your visitors - so different from ours.
ReplyDeleteHi EC, so good to see you back. I feel the same about the birds you share :)
DeleteOh my goodness. Now they will scare all the other birds away. They are interesting to watch, though!
ReplyDeleteHi Ginny, very interesting. So far they come at a certain time of the day when the other birds have had their share of the birdseed. I hope this lasts.
DeleteAll good to see again Please feed Mr Squirrel
ReplyDeleteThank you Margaret, I certainly will :)
DeleteIt didn't take long for the squirrel to show his authority :)
ReplyDeleteNo, the squirrels hold their own. Thanks Valerie :)
DeleteQue maravilha.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e um bom mês de Abril.

DeleteI saw Grackles when we were in Dallas, it seems they are not very popular! Have a good day, Diane
ReplyDeleteI think they are considered a bit of a pest Diane, like the starlings. Have a good day also :)
DeleteHa ha... I really like your spy camera! Imagine everything you would miss without it!
ReplyDeleteHi Sandi! It does keep us entertained, a great view into our feathered friends' lives :)
Deletehope the squirrel got his sunflowers. LOL... what pops up after the videos is our own videos we have watched, mine that are in my playlist comes up behind it. those birds should audition for a part in The Birds remake
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra, yes he did and seemed very happy about it. That thought crossed my mind too :)
DeleteGreat videos!
ReplyDeleteThank you Christine :)
DeleteFunny you would show these! We were hiking deep in the woods and there was a flock in the trees right over our heads. It felt and sounded like the A. Hitchcock movie! Not very good! Your squirrel is pretty cute!
ReplyDeleteThat must have been a very eerie sight. Glad you liked my squirrel, not everyone is a fan I know but I love the little guys.
DeleteGrackles are large intimidating birds.
ReplyDeleteHi Red, they can be I know.
DeleteInteresting! This bird is new to me and reminds me of crows a bit, if crows had smatterings of rainbow in them and whistled instead of cawed when they sang.:)
ReplyDeleteHi Penelope, they are larger than a blackbird and smaller than a crow. I still find them very interesting to observe.
DeleteThese are about my least favorite birds, Denise, and starlings are another least favorite species. That said, you did get some great ca[ptures.
ReplyDeleteThank you Dorothy :)
DeleteWe do have grackles here. Terrific takes!
ReplyDeleteThank you William, they are an interesting bird :)
DeleteLOL, cute squirrel! We have had a bunch of grackles too. They gobble a lot of seed! Fortunately they are shy and if they see me move they fly off.
ReplyDeleteThey are very greedy those grackles I agree. Thanks Linda :)
DeleteGrackles are such fun birds to watch, and when the sun hits their feathers just right, they sparkle!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a great week!
Hi Lea, they are very interesting aren't they and I agree about the sun. You have a great week also :)
DeleteWhat a nice post … so lovely to see your visitors :)
