Trying to find something in particular, I found myself looking in an old cupboard upstairs. It is where I keep all greeting cards and postcards, some of which have been collected on past road trips. I was way overdue for a sorting it all out.
I never did find what I was looking for but as often happens, these searches make me realize yes, its spring. All of a sudden I find myself on a cleaning binge of activity. I will be focused until it is all done and then probably find something else to do after that. Who knows what else I will find.
On this particular occasion I was delighted to find these old fashioned postcards. I couldn't tell you how long I have had them. They were tucked away in the back of one of those dark corners, and tucked inside a small storage box.
I can see why I bought them as I love old-fashioned clothing, a definite change of pace for you today.
Thanks for looking and enjoy your day.
What a find! They are all quite lovely. I have a postcard collection. Perhaps you will be posting about some other finds as well.
ReplyDeleteHappy you enjoyed them. I have sorted more out and will share them soon.
DeleteThey are elegant which few of today's clothes achieve (and almost no casual clothes).
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter and enjoy your weekend.
They are elegant aren't they? Hope you had a wonderful Easter EC, ours was very nice.
DeleteI can imagine you squealing with delight that you never threw those beauties away. Thanks for sharing, I love them.
ReplyDeleteTruth Valerie? I have a hard time throwing things away ;) BUT, downsizing and keeping special things, especially the sentimental ones, taking photos of others hoping I can pass them on to anyone who would like them eventually, our son having first dibs.
Deletegarb was so much more formal back then wasn't it
ReplyDeleteIt sure was Linda, love their style.
DeleteI love these, especially number 2. I am trying to imagine playing tennis dressed like she is. they are amazing .
ReplyDeleteWhen I look at the tennis clothes of today, compared to what was worn back then, I'm thinking there wasn't a lot of room for freedom of movement :)
