The birds are in a bit of a quandary.
Word of the day!
“Quandary”
Meaning, unsure or confused.
“The backyard birds are a little worried about what’s coming next. They are in a quandary.”
As for Camera Lady, she wants to plant lots of trees, just like Johnny Appleseed did with all his appleseeds.
Gosh... I haven't seen a bluejay in such a long, long time.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite birds Kay. Truthfully I have a lot of favorite birds :)
DeleteSo cute! I always get excited Friday evening when I remember it is time for the Birdfeeder!!
ReplyDeleteThat’s so sweet of you to say Ginny, thank you a whole bunch of thank you’s :)
DeleteGood idea if you have the space. Trees are needed. Good day!
ReplyDeleteThank you my friend :) We don't have a big garden but it can take a two or three more trees. We had to get rid of my favorite one because an arborist advised us. It was dying and as the previous owners had the tree next to it fall on top of our house not too long before we moved in (this story told by our next door neighbor, we didn't want that to happen. Sad day when that came down but safety for everyone within falling distance was paramount.
DeleteI'm sure they'll soon sort out their problems! 😁
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they will Janice :)
DeleteI would love a fast growing tree like that. I'm curious about why the bird seed is looking so interesting and has the birds in a quandary.
ReplyDeleteMe too!!!! Let's see, I suppose because those seeds were from the mighty oak that another bird had left, and they didn't want to find themselves in another quandary! My imagination runneth rampant, lol!
Deletequandary...just learned a new word :-) Thank you, Denise.
ReplyDeleteThat's great, I love learning new words. You are very welcome and thank you Angie :)
DeleteLet's hear it for planting trees. That's one of my summer goals up north next year -- to plant two or three new trees. I love your happy birds!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you love my happy birds my friend. That's lovely that you will be planting new trees, and then the birds will come :)
Deletelook carefully where you plant the trees, we did NOT back when we were planting. so look above for wires or anything the tree can grow into. we just started planting and have paid the price by paying to get them taken down... I LOVE TREES
ReplyDeleteVery important advice, thank you Sandra! I really appreciate that. I love trees too! :)
DeleteWE have a very chilly and raining week next week. Today I filled up feeders and put out a new cake of suet. Want to be sure their tummies are full on a chilly day
ReplyDeleteHugs Cecilia
Bless you for taking care of the birds Cecilia. Sending hugs on this chilly day :)
DeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteCute captions and bird photos. Take care, have a happy weekend.
Thank you Eileen, glad you enjoyed. You take care and have a happy weekend also :)
DeleteI need a birdfeeder like that. I like the tree drawing. Don't you just love cardinals in the winter time. Such a vibrant red during these winter grays. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks Leslie, the tree is a graphic I picked up from pixabay.com. We had a new deck made out of non-wood and lost our beam to hang feeders on. It all worked out okay. Our solution was to buy a potting bench which we turned into a bird-feeding station in the winter (for flat-bed feeders), and it will turn into a potting bench with flowers in the summer :) I agree about the cardinal, especially when the snow is on the ground. They really cheer me up with that bright red against the white of the snow :) You have a great weekend too.
DeleteVery cool post!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ann, much appreciated :)
Delete😊 sweet birds
ReplyDeleteLove the cardinal!
Thank you Sandi, glad you enjoyed. I love the cardinal too :)
DeleteI'm certain they solved the quandary when they tasted the interesting seeds. Happy Saturday.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they did :) thanks Sandra and a Happy Saturday to you too :)
DeleteWe don't see cardinals here so that shot is a treat. Happy Saturday!
ReplyDeleteThat's interesting, I'll have to check their range. A dream of mine is to go to the West Coast and see what different birds I can get photos of. When we went out that way years ago I got a few bird photos but wasn't as diligent as I am now. I am not sure that will happen but it's a nice dream. Happy Saturday to you too Ellen :)
DeleteI had a titmouse land on a window sill and tap on the window today. Apparently I should have been quicker to put some seed in the feeder out in the yard.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! The beautiful little titmouse doesn't hang around for long does it? We have to be fast with those little darlings. By the time I get a camera in my hands, flit! They're gone :)
DeleteFor the last few days to a week now the birds outside have been up and yappin' nice and early. I looooooove hearing birds in the morning.
ReplyDeleteHello Ivy :) that sounds lovely! I do enjoy hearing them first thing in the morning. It's a preferable alarm call :)
DeleteHey Denise. I stopped using alarms years ago and now use my internal clock. It works better than that darn noise from the alarm. Though one time we had a very nice alarm that sorta played soft music that increased in volume.
DeleteThanks Ivy, internal clocks are the best :) though the soft music sounds good.
DeleteI love looking at the birdfeeder. So calming and relaxing. Hugs my friend.

Me too Regine and I agree totally. Hugs to you also my friend :)
DeleteThank you for the smiles on this chilly day. We are in Berkeley Springs WV, waiting out the rain and freezing rain and snow. We leave for SC tomorrow morning.
ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome Linda :) I hope you miss the bad weather for the most part. We are getting freezing rain here later, and perhaps some snow. Next week there is more on the way. Happy and safe travels for you and Bob my friend :)
DeleteFun!
ReplyDeleteGreat, and thank you Christine :)
DeleteYes, the birds will really be in quandary when the snowfall comes in over the weekend, Denise. We are forecast to get a possible 8 inches in NH.
ReplyDeleteHello Dorothy, I think you're right :) Hopefully you are home and hatches are battened down for the snow. Stay cozy and warm!
DeleteI'm in a quandary, too. ;)
ReplyDeleteI think many of us are my friend ;)
DeleteAn interesting word and one that I do not often us, Have a good Sunday, Diane
ReplyDeleteThank you Diane and I hope your quandaries are always few. You have a good Sunday also :)
DeleteYou are adding a little bit of magic by having the magic growing tree
ReplyDeleteThank you Roentare, trying hard to do just that :)
DeleteGoodness! I've not thought of that word for a while ... it's a good one though.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing your visiting birds.
Enjoy the remainder of the weekend.
All the best Jan
Thank you Jan, so glad you enjoy the birds too. It's a word I have been thinking a lot about lately :) All the best to you too and have a lovely weekend! :)
DeleteTu pajaritos alegran el sábado. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteMuchas gracias, me alegro mucho y aprecio tus amables palabras. te mando un beso :)
DeleteThe tree did grow fast from last week to this week, it's no wonder it's a quandary.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly did Margaret :) Quandaries abound!
