    1. Hi Tanya, I have to say I have never seen them around here. I guess you either love them or hate them :)

  10. I knew all of this except being immune to rabies. Possums are so cool, and I think they are kind of pretty! Except when they open their mouth and hiss.

    1. Yes, that one was good to know, about the rabies. They are a very cool animal and the last time I saw one was at night, and his coat was so fluffy. I think I saw a show on TV where one had gotten inside someone's cupboard in their kitchen. I forget how it got there but when the man tried to remove it I saw those teeth! Would not want to be in that position, I have to say :)

  11. I think they stick to the countryside here, and are nocturnal anyway.

    1. Yes, they are nocturnal here too but with more of their land being taken away for housing, you find them in the area I've learned. Thank you William :)

  12. An image full of information. For me, Opossums, like all animals, must be respected and protected, they are important for ecological balance.
    Have a great weekend

  13. I was never quite fond of possums when we lived in Illinois, but the thought of them eating 5,000 ticks a year certainly makes them more desirable.

    1. I have never seen one in our area, though I know they must be here. 5,000 ticks a year is a good resume ;) Thanks Kay!
