Mr. House Finch recognizes that he is a silly bird and is going to keep his beak shut next time. I told the same thing to Mr. Chipmunk years ago, when Mrs. Chipmunk took a bite out of his tail when he answered the same question. Birds just need to be a little more diplomatic. Beaks must remain closed. "It's a trap Admiral Akbar, it's a trap!" At least that's what Camera Man says to Camera Lady when she asks him questions that he doesn't think he should answer. Family joke! This hasn't come up in a very long time but...
Mrs. Dark-eyed Junco agrees, Mr. House Finch needs to be more diplomatic. Mr. Dark-eyed Junco already learned this over many years.
And so it goes on another Saturday Morning at the Bird feeder, where we want to wish you all a very happy weekend and to thank you for visiting today.
Awww... They're all so pretty. I haven't seen a junco in such a long time.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kay, so glad you enjoyed :)
DeleteThe Junco is posing for you! He does have a lovely profile! And a crow as well!! You are getting more variety for the winter!
ReplyDeleteYou should see it out there with the snow we have had Ginny. There are dozens of birds coming in and out :)
DeleteI guess I'm glad to know it's not just the humans having trouble with political correctness. Cute. Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteLOL! And thank you for the smile Linda :)
DeleteA very lovely Saturday at the poultry farm!
ReplyDeleteLife carries on as usual in the new year!
Have a nice weekend Deniseš§”
Thank you Katerina :) it seems to be. I hope you have had a lovely weekend and week so far. Have a wonderful rest of the week.
DeleteThanks for the smiles. And some questions are indeed traps.
ReplyDeleteVery true and you are very welcome Sue :)
DeleteI love your birdy friends and the conversations. I'm starting the day with a smile. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteSo glad Carol, thank you :) You are very welcome my friend, always happy to start your day off with a smile.
DeleteFun post, love the photos and the captions. My favorite is the Junco.
ReplyDeleteTake care, have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you Eileen and I appreciate that very much :) I wish you the same :)
DeleteThe smart Mr.'s know when to not answer questions. Not all Mr.'s are smart though.
ReplyDeleteI agree Ann, lol!
DeleteWishing you and your loved ones a very happy and healthy New Year, Denise! Haha ... seems like a bird feeder is much like a water cooler is to humans who chatter. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Penelope, I wish you and your loved ones a happy and Healthy New Year also. That’s a lovely way of describing the outside activities, thanks for the smile :)
DeleteI am happy to hear that it is the male birds that don't think before they answer that question, just like human males who suffer the same problem. I love that first shot of the black bird, looks like dressed for a party... I just see Ann says not all Mr's are smart enough, and I disagree, that there are no smart men who will keep their mouths shut when asked that question
ReplyDeleteYour comment made me chuckle Sandra, Venus and Mars always comes to mind.
Deletemy comment just brought to mind, way back when my 58 year old son Dan, was 14, I came out all dressed to go out somewhere and he said Mom, are you wearing that dress?? I wore it out and never wore it again. can't remember what it looked like but never forgot the comment.
ReplyDeleteYikes! Comments like that would most definitely stay with me too. I hope your son learned something that day.
DeleteAn imaginary friend can be a great comfort!
ReplyDeleteVery true! :)
DeleteA fun blog, well done. Keep warm, cheers Diane
ReplyDeleteAppreciate your comment Diane :) you keep warm too and thank you.
DeleteWhat a fun Saturday entry! Love that dark-eyed junco.
ReplyDeleteHappy you think so Angie, thank you :)

Delete"Actually, I'm real"
ReplyDeleteThat made me smile :)
Happy it brought a smile Liam. Thank you for letting me know :)
DeleteFun! Happy Saturday
ReplyDeleteThank you Christine, and to you also :)
DeleteThe trap reference made me laugh along with the bird banter Denise! Camera Lady does it again. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteAwww, thank you Martha Ellen :) You are very welcome.
DeleteHappy Saturday to you. I can always count on you for my Saturday morning giggles.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda, I had a good one thank you. I hope your son learned did too :)
DeleteJuncos are such an elegant little bird. Just seems they would naturally not be rude. ;)
ReplyDeleteI agree Rita :) Thank you!
DeleteAh, the age-old wisdom of beak diplomacy! Mr. House Finch should consider himself lucky—at least his tail is intact. I suppose Mr. Chipmunk learned the hard way that some questions are best left unanswered. Admirable restraint, Mr. House Finch
ReplyDeleteIt’s all learning about life Roentare and thank you for your delightful comment :)
DeleteImagine if we had feathers instead of fur. Would we be as beautiful as this?
ReplyDeleteWell, we certainly would look different. As beautiful? Not so sure :)
DeleteHmm...I meant to say hair, not fur.
ReplyDeleteGot it, thank you :)
DeleteAnother lovely Saturday post Denise and many thanks for the link ...great film(s)
