"Come, let us have some tea and talk about happy things."
And because there's always one in every crowd...
And as he knows she has a soft spot for him, he got his hot chocolate with marshmallow and whipped cream and a chocolate chip cookie. She decided it was a treat day because of all the snow.
And that's how it goes on this Saturday morning at the bird feeder. Everyone was very happy to have a nice, hot cup of tea, plus hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallow, and a chocolate chip cookie, especially on this long and very cold snowy day.
Thank you for dropping in my friends, and I hope you are keeping your feathers warm.
Yes, tea sounds good! Happy Saturday :-)
ReplyDeleteIt certainly does, I'm about to head to the kitchen to fix myself an herbal tea. Don't need any caffeine this time of the day :)
DeleteDenise great creations..
ReplyDeleteYou give such a peaceful picture that everyone is happy
and everyone gets what they want!!
I would pass coffee!!
These images and words are an oasis in the difficult world we live in!!
Have a nice weekend.⛄
Hello my friend, thank you so much! So very kind of you to say this. I appreciate it very much. Thank you and you have a nice weekend also :)
DeleteOh my gosh! This post actually gave me a warm glow in my chest! Never had that happen before. I just love how you combined your computer screen with your real little angel! And you have made it look kind of like T.V. I love the tiny green mugs, the tiny campfire, and the squirrel drinking his hot chocolate at the bottom. You have outdone yourself. This is one of my very favorites for sure. This is one of the sweetest, cutest, most whimsical posts ever!!
ReplyDeleteHi Ginny, you really know how to make my day, thank you so much :))) You are so sweet and kind :) Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
DeleteLots of smiles. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteWonderful Thank you so much Sue, and thank you :)))
DeleteI totally agree with Ginny on this comment Denise. Lovely angel with the teapot offering your friends a cuppa with all the trimmings to Mr. Squirrel! I'll have what he's having, please. Enjoy this day with the ongoing movie of nature outside your window!
ReplyDeleteI will make you what Mr. Squirrel is having any time of the day my dear friend. So glad you like this and here's me thinking this wasn't that good a post today and I have had your comment and so many lovely ones. You are all a joy to me and it keeps me going. Thank you so much :)))
DeleteI would also be one in the crowd I hate tea :-))) Hot chocolate for me please. Have a good weekend, Diane
ReplyDeleteHot chocolate coming up Diane! Thank you and you have a good weekend also :)
DeleteLove this. I like the little camp fire the birds have built to stay warm. I can relate to the cute squirrel wanting hot chocolate. I wanted a cup of it last night and when I went to make some the box of hot cocoa mix was empty. I must have been channeling my children when I left the empty box in the cupboard. Even worse, I didn't even have any chocolate chip cookies.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ann :) LOL! I remember the days of finding empty boxes Ann :) memories of which I treasure now. Oh no, no chocolate chip cookies either? What a state of affairs :))) Actually, I try to keep the cookies out of the house these days, but it's nice to have the occasional treat isn't it?
DeleteI would be "that one in every crowd", hot chocolate for me!
ReplyDeleteComing up :))) Hot Chocolate is always a winner on a cold and snowy day isn't it?
Deleteif I were there I would join Sir Squirrel with the hot chocolate, hold the cookie, hold the whip cream... I am off now to brew my tummy tamer fennel tea, hoping to undo the damage my cup of coffee does to my stomach.. that angel is precious...
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to try that tummy tamer fennel tea. I have never had it before. Thanks Sandra for the reminder not to have too much coffee :)
DeleteHot chocolate, definitely, to warm the cockles of your heart.
ReplyDeleteIt does indeed, thank you Janice :)
DeleteI just finished drinking a hot cup of tea. I think you should write illustrated children’s books :)
ReplyDeleteWell, thank you for that sweet compliment Linda :) I'm sure you enjoyed your hot cup of tea. Heading into the kitchen right after I answer comments tonight :)
DeleteBeautiful post
ReplyDeleteThank you Rajani, much appreciated :)
DeleteYup. there's one in every crowd! Big smiles today!
ReplyDeleteThat's great, always happy to bring a smile. Thanks Jeanie and yes there always is :)
DeleteVery cute! Love that last squirrel shot!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you enjoyed Ellen, I can look at the expression on a squirrel's face and immediately know what he is thinking, at least from my head to these posts, lol! Thank you so much!
DeleteThe hot chocolate sounds wonderful.
ReplyDeleteIt does, doesn't it Red? Maybe I will break down and fix myself one tomorrow :)
DeleteOh to be a lucky critter at your feeders!!!
ReplyDeleteI filled up the feeders and suet yesterday. We awoke to 1/4" sleet on the ground.
I had been saving a loaf of raisin bread in the fridge for an icy day this was it.
OH was there ever a feeding frenzy when I dispersed broken bread from my back porch.
Hugs Cecilia
Hi Cecilia, I think I am the lucky one to have them visit the feeders :) They give me hours of entertainment, so much so I would rather look at them than put on the TV, shocker! LOL! I bet your birds loved their suet feed. Reminds me I have to buy some more tomorrow and yes, I bet they loved your extra treat today. Sending hugs my friend :)
Deletehappy Saturday!
ReplyDeleteThank you Christine, you too :)
DeleteThe hot chocolate sounds good right now. Cute images.
ReplyDeleteTake care, have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you Eileen, happy you thought so and you take care and have a wonderful weekend also :)

ReplyDeleteVery sweet of you to say and I am so glad. Thank you roentare :)
DeleteThank you for such a lovely post ...
ReplyDeleteOur weather here in the UK has been very cold but I dressed up warm earlier and had a wonderful walk, returning to enjoy a nice, hot cup of tea... I did enjoy it :)
All the best Jan
You are very welcome Jan and thank you too :) How lovely you were able to get out. I always loved a good walk on a crisp chilly day, just so long as I was layered like a woolly mammoth, lol! Same in the evenings in the light of the moon, and the smell of the woodsmoke coming out of all the chimneys. Lovely to return to a hot drink isn't it :)
DeleteThank you for inviting us into your sweet world! It is healing and lovely for ALL of us I'm sure, dear Denise, I want to live in your garden and never watch any news!
ReplyDeleteYou are invited here any time dear Cloudia :) and most definitely, it is a sweeter experience watching the birds than the news, for sure. I’ll venture to say it always will be, so pull up a chair, any time you want. We will always have a place ready and waiting for you :)))
DeleteTen un lindo sábado. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteMuchas gracias, te deseo un lindo sábado y también domingo :) Te mando un beso.
