Camera Lady said the bang was when the Kissing Bunnies went flying off the bottom part of the bench. She saw they were missing when the scallywags were doing a twirl around the inside of the seed tray trying to find some seeds, but there was no way she was going to go outside to investigate. Happily, the Froggies3 were untouched! Well, she said the Kissing Bunnies would have to fend for themselves until daylight. Fortunately, and she thought this would be so, the bunnies were found upside down behind the big plant pot about two feet away from their original position. Those raccoons have muscles! No harm came to her bunnies, as she made sure that anything she buys now is made of metal. They can fly to the moon and they would be okay.
Camera Lady filled the seed tray this morning. Raccoons are safely asleep in their den.
I am amazed and pleased that the bunnies did not break!! And my, Bobbin and Angelus do seem to be having a serious heart to heart conversation. What an adorable little Chipmunk!!
ReplyDeleteMe too Ginny, so glad! Love the little chipmunks we get also :)
DeleteYou are a good camera lady Denise.
ReplyDeleteThank you Margaret, I try my best :)
DeleteI am so glad that the bunnies didn't break. Those are seriously packed cheeks on the chipmunk.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sue, and that wasn't as packed as I have seen :)
DeleteNever a dull moment out there. Those raccoons sure can make a mess. Perhaps some of the other visitors can teach them proper etiquette. Glad that the kissing bunnies weren't damaged.
ReplyDeleteAlways very active! When the hot weather arrives, there will be enough food for them around in nature and I will stop. Then the bird feeding table will be turned into a flower pot table :)
DeleteNocturnal activity is frequently noisy, but I'm glad nothing came to harm. The kissing bunnies must have been a bit shocked, though!
ReplyDeleteThe kissing bunnies have been keeping a wary eye on those rascally raccoons :) yes they can be very noisy, foxes also!
DeleteI thought for sure the bunnies would have broken. But what I got out of that post is that you stole your neighbor's figurine! Are you holding it for ransom?
ReplyDeleteI was a wee bit worried but they are made of sturdy stuff! My mantra is 'buy sturdy stuff from now on"! No, my long lens was very useful for taking a photo of Angelus, and the robin was added with thanks to Paint Shop Pro. No ransom needed, lol!
DeleteI don't remember the raccoons causing all this hullabaloo on the old deck, I wonder why so much carrying on on the new deck? Raging Racoons Wreaking Havoc, who would hat thought this
ReplyDeleteNo, they didn't! It's because all they had was a rail and a single birdfeeder attached. They made it up there maybe two at a time but not always :) I must admit to putting more bird seed out. I watch the hierarchy of the squirrels at times, and it is really interesting.
DeleteHappy Mother's Day weekend Denise.
ReplyDeleteI have not seen raccoons in our yard, they maybe here when I am sleeping.
I enjoyed the photos and captions.
Thank you Eileen and I hope yours was a wonderful one also :)
DeleteCan't imagine having some raccoons in my back yard...
ReplyDeleteThey are all over this neighborhood Angie. Lots and lots of trees and a creek nearby. They were here long before the houses were.
DeleteIt certainly is busy at the bird feeders these days, Denise, with so many visitors. And, Happy Mother's Day to you and sure that your family will treat you royally on your day.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is Dorothy :) Thank you so much! I had a lovely day being treated royally :)
DeleteLovely post.
ReplyDeleteThank you Anne :)
DeleteLots of activity in your world this morning.
ReplyDeleteYes indeed, you should see it when the crows turn up :)
DeleteHappy Saturday Denise!
ReplyDeleteThank you Christine and a Happy Wednesday to you too. I am so late answering my comments :(
DeleteHopefully all bunny parts survived the fall!
ReplyDeleteThankfully, yes they did. Thank you Jeanie :)
DeleteI laughed at the raccoons thinking you were waving at them!
ReplyDeleteThose raccoons are always waving back, at least in my head anyhow, lol!
DeleteReally delightful! This could be an episode in a children's book that adults would enjoy too 🌴👍🏽
ReplyDeleteHow sweet of you to say Cloudia, thank you so much! :)
DeleteNever a dull moment!
ReplyDeletePleased that the kissing bunnies weren't damaged.
Happy weekend wishes.
All the best Jan

ReplyDeleteMe too but they are darned tired of those rascally raccoons, lol!
