It was wild!
Nope, we're not doing word of the day today.
The American Robins flew in to check out what all the commotion was about.
The Mockingbird turned up for a few seconds.
The Robins turned up with friends and had their own party.
Everyone was all of a tweeter.
The inanimate object was by this time standing upright and wasn't talking, Kissing Bunnies were okay too. Big Bunny is still staying away, but this little guy turned up. Everyone was keeping a close eye on him. He told everyone he was innocent and that he didn't know anything.
I have noticed how you all tip toe and jump over those leaves. We keep sweeping them up and they keep falling. That's why they call it "Fall!"
Tell them they have very good fluffy tails. They would be great for sweeping. All they have to do is waddle backwards!
And that's how it goes at this week's Saturday Morning at the Bird Feeder.
Have a great weekend everyone
and thanks for stopping by for another whimsical tale.
Oh my GOODNESS!! Disaster at the Birdfeeder!! I was thinking, whenever wild animals act unusually freaky like this, it can be a sign of rabies. Because I cannot figure out anything else. I was at Home Goods today. They always have so many different Froggies 3. I always think of you! And I turn to Phil and say "Look, Froggies 3!!" He thinks I'm out of my mind.
ReplyDeleteWell that’s made my day :) Not about the rabies obviously, about your comment to Phil about Froggies3 :))) Tickled pink I am. Thank you Ginny! I read that squirrels are very rarely infected by rabies. I have had a chance to observe them a lot and what I see is them chasing each other away when there is food around. They get very territorial.
DeleteI hope they enjoyed party time.
ReplyDeleteMe too :)
DeleteNaughty squirrels! The robins are delightful and most appreciative of your efforts.
ReplyDeleteNaughty indeed! Those robins are truly appreciative :)
Deletewow, this is a wild looking scene, and me thinks you need a CSI to come and gather evidence and someone should go to JAIL... ha ha
ReplyDeletethey seem to be escalating the damage, and when you had the old deck I don't remember them being this bad and tearing things up
That’s a great idea Sandra :) I agree about the old deck. Since we added the bench too. I used to see antics going on but not like this.
DeleteWell that squirrel may be innocent but the guilty parties sure did do a number on things. They were not very good guests at all.
ReplyDeleteThere’s always a few that spoil it for the rest :)
DeleteThat's a wild party :-) Hope no one was hurt.
ReplyDeleteI think everyone is okay. It seems we are getting the usual cast of characters :)
DeleteWow! Those are strong squirrels to knock down the bird bath! Wonder if it was a coyote chasing them that knocked stuff down. Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteOr a raccoon or fox maybe :)
DeleteYikes That was quite the party! Wonder if Mr. Raccoon showed up too!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering that myself :)
DeleteThat's a bit of a mess. Th deer make the biggest mess here.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is Red, they keep us busy cleaning up :) I haven't seen any deer in the neighborhood for a very long time.
DeleteDon't look at me. I didn't do it! Nope, I know nothing!
ReplyDeleteSo happy about that Carol, lol! :)))
DeleteCool post!
ReplyDeleteThank you Anne :)
Deletei enjoy these...they are so fun!! all of the birds are beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThat's great, thank you Debbie :) They are beautiful birds :)
DeleteThose squirrels sure know how to throw a party. How is Saturday going?
ReplyDeleteThey certainly do, I keep thinking we'll be hearing rock music any day. Saturday is going well Melody. Thank you and I hope the same for you :)
DeleteSuch fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine :)
DeleteExciting times continue on your deck!!
ReplyDeleteThey do indeed :)
DeleteThat is why they are called wildlife...very entertaining too!
ReplyDeleteVery true :)
DeleteGoodness gracious Denise they are really throwing wild parties at your place! Love the idea of the furry tails sweeping up the leaves. Maybe while they are at it they can clean up the rest of their shenanigans. Happy evening to you, my friend!
ReplyDeleteHi Martha Ellen :) The tail sweepers need a lot of training! And wouldn’t that be lovely? Happy evening to you too dear friend :)))
DeleteIt sounds like they had a came of touch football or something.
ReplyDeleteHi Rose, now I never thought of that! :) I bet you’re right!
DeleteUy ellos hicieron un desastre. Ten un lindo sabado. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteThank you my friend. Google Translate isn’t working today so I will try to read your comment tomorrow :)
DeleteYou certainly do an excellent job with these creatures, Denise.
ReplyDeleteHi Margaret, I am very happy you think so and thank you :)
DeleteLooks like someone was having a wild time there. I am sure the birds are all innocent, I would blame the squirrels. Cute post. Happy Sunday, have a great week ahead.
ReplyDeleteI need to get my trail cam out there. Thank you Eileen, you too :)
DeleteOh no! They made quite the commotion! Do they hibernate in the winter in your area or will they remain active all year?
ReplyDeleteOn your post to today, I loved you picture of the Dutchman's Breeches. Very pretty.
Hi Jim and Barb, I don’t believe they hibernate and we will be seeing them all winter :) Happy you enjoyed the Dutchman’s Breeches. Thanks so much for leaving a comment here.
DeleteYour place is the place to be! Thanks for sharing! I love these ones.
ReplyDeleteThat’s great, thank you so much Billie Jo :) You are very welcome!

ReplyDeleteThank you Christine, I turned them off just for today. I should have made it more clearer and put my message right at the bottom after my sign off :)
DeleteGiggling! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteExcellent! I am very happy they gave you a giggle :) Thank you Linda!
DeleteAwww... This is so sweet. I haven't seen robins and squirrels since July... sigh... We'll be visiting Illinois next year so I'll look forward to seeing them then.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kay :) How wonderful you have a trip planned.
DeleteOh, those mischievous squirrels! The Robin is such a special bird, one of my favorites, and to see THREE is even more special. Great pictures of this precious bird, Denise.
ReplyDelete~Sheri
