HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I had already gone upstairs and Gregg was next, but first he looked out the window.  This is the sight that greeted him.  More on our little trick or treater in another post.
My witchy photo is the same as last year, but does have a few changes. It is a house in our neighborhood taken in the dark with my cell phone.  I added a larger witch in the foreground this time.  This family always does a great job decorating for Halloween.
Tonight we went for a drive around the neighborhood.  We had a lot of fun stopping, looking and taking photos.  We started out in the half light and as it got darker, everyone's decorations came to life.

This scary ghost was outside our community center (the little ghost decided to visit from pixabay.com).
Watch out little ghost!

Getting really spooky...
and I did not like this one at all!
That ends the neighborhood decorations for this year.  I thought I would finish off with a few cute jigsaw puzzles I have been putting together.  Some are leftovers from last Halloween that I didn't get to publish in time.

A lot more photo heavy than I usually do, but I wanted to get them all out and not wait again until next year.

I haven’t bought any bags of candy yet. Keeping it out of the house as long as I can.
🍫
Happy Halloween Everyone!

  1. Happy Halloween. Thank you for sharing the incredible decorations and jigsaws. I try not to have sweet treats in the house too - and fail.

  2. I like all the puzzles. The first two look like they would be hard! Lots of good decorations, you did a great job with the photography! My favorite is the skeleton in the old wagon with the green light on it. Can't wait for the raccoon story!

    1. Thanks Ginny, so glad you think so. Some of the puzzles take a whole lot of head scratching but then it is fun finding the piece that eventually fits. I'm in the middle of putting the raccoon post together. Hopefully tomorrow, but maybe the next day depending on how much time I have to play :)

    1. That's great Donna, we are in for a cold snap here. We're not sure how many little goblins will come to the door tonight. This neighborhood changes so much and people are always coming and going. I watched the little ones grow up years ago and Halloween changed just like yours. We have had a lot of young families move here in the last couple of years and the dynamics are changing yet again. Sending hugs :)

  9. Happy Halloween. Love your little trick or treater on the deck. I hope he didn't pull any tricks on you.
There sure are a lot of great decorations in your neighborhood. Hardly anyone around here has anything out. There are a few houses that have decorations but not many. Every year I say I'm going to go out and drive around to look for some but then I never do.

    1. Happy Halloween Ann, yes, he/she was my favorite :) No tricks but there was a whole lot of seed leftover and tucked into that. No candy for this little trick or treater, but it happily behaved. As for the decorations, this was a first night-time drive in I don't remember when. I was surprised to see how many had decorated. I usually wait until Christmas for my drive-bys :)

  15. Fun neighborhood tour! I really like the pumpkin ones and all the happiness -- like you, not so keen on the evil ones that make me want to hide under the bed. But especially I love your creativity with your Halloween porch visitor and your neighbor's house with the witch, who looks perfect there.

  20. Your neighborhood certainly delights kids of all ages! Nice photos, but my favorite has to be the masked bandit on your deck. Did Gregg give him a treat or did the rascal trick him?

    1. Yes, I have to say, he was mine too :) Our little rascal had plenty of treats on the bottom shelf. Chocolate covered birdseed, minus the chocolate, ha! Thank you Martha Ellen :)

    1. Thanks Linda, slow night here also :) We had Harry Potter, Hermione and then a line of Princesses, they were all around 5 to 6 and came with parents, and them four 12/13-ish boys with sheets over their heads. We have candy left over also. Will probably do the same thing.

  24. I'm afraid my neighborhood doesn't do much for the holidays. We didn't get a single trick or treater on Halloween. My husband was quite disappointed. I did enjoy seeing your photos, Denise. Thank you for sharing them.
