Our son was in New Orleans on business recently.
I am not sure which meal was from the restaurant above but it was a recommendation from a friend. In the top photo he ordered Blackened Redfish Filet atop Crawfish Cornbread, topped with Creamy Shrimp Pontchartrain Sauce, and below is Fried and Blackened Alligator Bites. He is a little more adventurous than I am. I asked him what the alligator tasted like and he said, "Hard to say Mom, a meaty texture and a fried clams taste."

Fabulous jazz!
Thank you son, it was fun to see New Orleans again. We were last there about 35 years ago.
Wonderful, wonderful photos! I adore the steamboat, and it even whistles music!! This is the perfect mini tour. I could not eat alligator, but if they have to be good for some purpose, well then....
