MEMORIAL DAY

MEMORIAL DAY

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

From Laurence Binyon's poem
written in September 1914.

    1. I felt the same when I saw the photo I had taken on our last trip to Arlington, and the poems always touch me.

    1. Thank you EC, for including the families. I thank them all and I try never to take each day for granted, because of their sacrifice and the ultimate sacrifice of their loved ones.

  5. Yes we shall, Denise, as it should be those here and those who have gone. Thanks to Gregg and his late father for their service.

Thank you so for taking the time to leave a comment. I enjoy reading them very much and always try to return a visit. As I do monitor comments it may take a while for them to appear, even quite late depending on what is going on and how much time I am able to spend on the computer.

I appreciate all who look at my blog, but I won't be publishing any businesses. If you are only able to publish anonymously, would you sign your name please, and leave an addy so I can return your visit where possible? Thank you!
