THE GOSSIPS...


...otherwise known as Blue Jays, taken at one of the feeders in our back yard a while ago.


Shrill, blue squawker...
Guardians of the forest gates.
Jay waits to cry out.

  1. This poem pretty much describes the Blue Jay. I could also add to it. Bully Bird for one. But that is not very poetic though.

  19. They have such pretty colors. The blue is so striking, especially in winter when it seems like we don't have a lot of color.

  22. Jays are loud, but beautiful and not my favorite birds, I did have fun watching 3 of them attacking a hawk that was after the nest. they are warriors.

  24. Oh Denise, your blue jay photo is beautiful. Around here, we see the Steller's jays and also the California scrub jays. They are such a delightful bird with bright blue feathers. : )
