RANDOM PHOTO AND A QUOTE

I am in the middle of a larger post but in the interim I am sharing this interesting artwork I saw in a restaurant recently.  I added the quote.

  4. I do kind of agree with this quote. But am finding it hard to see any beauty in this artwork. Do you? Can't wait to see the post you are working on!

    1. Hi Ginny, it is sometimes hard. I guess what I saw was at first what William said in his comment, about it being Picassoesque. And then I thought of the artist, and I would really like to chat to some artists about their work and what inspired them, what was the beauty they saw when they created their work? Or were they expressing something beyond that. I tend to look at some photos and really study them, lol! To be honest my photo didn't do the piece justice, it was a lot nicer than I can project here.

    1. There certainly was a lot of work here Sue. As Rose thought, it was made out of something other than paint.

  8. I am wondering what this is made of? It isn't a painting, is it? Just curious...the quote is so true.

    1. You're right Rose, it wasn't a painting. The material seemed to be made of rolled wool, if that makes any sense. Yes, I thought the quote paired with it well.

    2. Thank you for answering this...I sure was curious. There is actually cork fabric now...I wonder if it could be it. I have not sewn with it but supposed to sew good. And I seen another kind of fiber but I forger what it was. But it looked like thick brown paper and you can wad it up and flatten it back out and sew with it. Both it and the cork are supposed to be sturdy and wear well. Used to make purses and baskets, etc.

    3. I noticed another fabric Rose but I don’t know enough about sewing to truly understand what I was looking at. Interesting about the brown paper and the other info. I learned something new today. Thank you :)
