FOR THE BIRDS, PLUS......

Chipping Sparrow

Catbird

Maybe someone can tell me what this little bird is.  He was enjoying the overgrown grasses nearby.

And a bonus shot of a sweet little rabbit.

From the archives.

For the following as they become available, with my thanks to all our hosts Eileen, Misty, Anni and Stewart.  You can click on the memes below to visit other participants.

  4. No idea what the little bird is called but he is a little darling. As you know I am definitely a bird fancier though mostly birds in the UK. It doesn't stop me from admiring others, though.

  7. Hello Denise!:) Gorgeous and endearing captures of all these sweet creatures. I'm not sure about the ID, but it could be a juvenile song sparrow!
Denise, I'm not sure if I was able to link up with Todays Flowers, and there was no image. Could you help please.

  19. Beautiful Chipping Sparrow. The streaky one is a Song Sparrow which may have lost its tail to a predator. They may sometimes actually cast off their tail feathers when attacked by a hawk.

  21. The mystery bird is either some kind of sparrow or a house finch. They are hard to tell apart. I have never seen a Catbird so fluffed up ad pudgy!! Very pretty. Have you heard them? They do sound like cats! Cute Bunny!!

  24. Love the chipping sparrow....perhaps the other sparrow that was seen in the grass is a savannah or a song sparrow? They're so difficult to identify, aren't they?

Thanks so much for joining in with us birders this weekend at I'd Rather B Birdin'....it's always a pleasure.
