With Easter around the corner I thought I would share this story that was given to me.  I am not aware of the source so cannot share a link.

"According to some sources, the Easter Bunny first arrived in America in the 1700s with German immigrants who settled Pennsylvania, and transported their tradition of an egg-laying hare called "Osterhase" or "Oschter Haws".  Their children made nests in which this creature could lay its colored eggs.  

Eventually, the custom spread across the U.S. and the fabled rabbit's Easter morning deliveries expanded to include chocolate and other types of candy and gifts, while decorated baskets replaced nests.  Additionally, children often left out carrots for the bunny in case he got hungry from all the hopping."

Everything you can learn from a bunny.

Meditate and reflect on life frequently.

Be selective whom you let get close to you.

Snuggle and kiss your beloved often.

Digest the newspaper daily.  No digging your head in the sand.

Eat a good share of fresh fruit and vegetables daily.

Kick up your heels once in a while, but don't get too carried away now.  

Be curious about everything in life.

Keep yourself well groomed and wash behind your ears.

Avoid those who growl at you and continuously make you sad.

No matter where you live you can make it homey and fun, with a little rearranging of things.

When you get frustrated or angry throw some sand, or better still get someone to hold you.

As Easter isn't too far away,  here are some interesting facts:

The first written recording of the Easter Bunny comes from 1500 A.D. in Germany which refers to him as Oschter Haws. Although the exact origins are unknown, the rabbit is a pagan symbol for fertility, springtime, renewal of life, and is associated with the moon which determines the date Easter falls upon each year.

The Easter Bunny is also referred to as the Easter Hare, Easter Rabbit, and Spring Rabbit. In some parts of Australia, the Easter symbol is the Easter Bilby.

This is the first time I have seen an Eastern Bluebird this year.  

I believe this is the female.  Her mate had much deeper blue coloring.  I couldn't get a photo of him as he was too far away for a photo....

but she posed for me very nicely as I made my way along the path.
