SATURDAY MORNING AT THE BIRD FEEDER - TALKING ABOUT THE WEATHER?

Ah well now, Florence Nightingale (1820-1910) was the famous "Lady with the Lamp". She earned this nickname for her habit of making solitary rounds through the hospital wards at night, carrying a lantern to check on her patients. I am also dedicating this to all the nurses who take care of their patients' needs with endless kindness and patience. That is very important to those who are feeling very much under the weather. Thank you!

“Kind words do not cost much.
Yet they accomplish much.”

And that's how it goes on a Saturday Morning at the Birdfeeder.

Thank you for visiting this week's flight of fancy.
I wish you all a very happy weekend.

"It's so dark here."

"She of the house says it is wacky weather!"

Photo 2:

"That's better!"

"They are going to be calling her the Lady of the Lamp next."

"Who would that be?"

"Do you knit? I am cold!"

"Thank you!"

"Did you bring the birdseed?"

GRATEFUL FOR...

~Grateful for Each Season~

I cherish each season, its rhythm, its grace,

Though summer’s thick air I’d rather not face.

Still, butterflies dance and the flowers unfold,

Bees hum through gardens in sunlight and gold.

Fall comes like an old friend, steady and true,

With crisp morning air and skies painted blue.

The trees wear their colors like gowns spun from flame,

And warmth lingers softly, though chill stakes its claim.

Then winter drifts in with a hush and a sigh,

As nature curls up beneath blanket and sky.

Woodsmoke meanders through twilight’s cool breath,

A whisper of comfort, of stillness, of rest.

Spring stirs the silence with blossoms and song,

New buds awaken, where dreams have grown long.

Birds wing their way home from journeys afar,

Their voices like lanterns, their flight like a star.

Through heat and through frost, through bloom and through bare,

I’m thankful for all that the seasons declare—

Each one a chapter, a gift to behold,

A story of life in its colors retold.

(Photo and Poem via Copilot with prompts by me. I wrote all my favorites about each season and asked it to put my words in poetry form. The image I asked for all seasons in one watercolor.)

HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE - HOPE

“Never deprive someone of hope, it might be all they have.”

and

A golden moon upon the tide,
Its glow reflected far and wide.
Twinkling stars in velvet sky,
Whispering dreams as waves drift by.

A lighthouse stands with steadfast grace,
Its beacon guiding through the space.
While on the sea, with sails unfurled,
A crimson yacht explores the world.

Upon its sail, a dove takes flight,
Clutching hope in wings so light.
An olive branch in gentle hold,
A promise cast in moonlight’s gold

Through mist that dances soft and white,
Hope sail’s on, a guiding light.
