Gregg dropped me off in front of the visitor center as I wanted to see what the children's garden had added. We hadn't been there for a while. He caught up with me half-way along the path. I am slow and also like to take photos of flowers along the way (and feathers as you can see in my last post).
We were also going to check out the area where they grow produce, and it was there that we started chatting to this really delightful couple, B. and T., I'll call them. I could tell right away that they were good people, very friendly and very interesting to listen to. We must have chatted for half-an-hour.
On impulse and after the half an hour, just before we were going to go our separate ways, I asked them if they would mind if I took a photo of them. Thankfully they were very happy to do that. I only ask if I feel comfortable with people, and we certainly felt very comfortable with each other.
B said I could text it to them and suggested putting it down in my iPhone which I did - I thought - but wouldn't you know it, when I got home to do just that, I couldn't find the blessed phone number that I thought I had put into my contacts.
I did give them a card I had made up for those times people have asked me in the past - yes rare but they stick with me - to take photos of them and their children and sometimes visiting relatives who have asked that please could we send it to them - so on a whim I gave B one of my cards with my email and blog printed on it.
So...B & T, if you read this and didn't get those photos I promised to send you, this is why. I am hoping that you will read this as we had talked about my blog, and please send me an email or write a message on my comments so that I can send these photos to you. They turned out lovely and I dearly would love to send them. We so very much enjoyed our conversation with you both.
I think that's enough for today as I have an uncomfortable headache, which is a sure sign than I need to get off here.
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Thursday.

Dear Denise, I hope you get in touch—and don't rack your brains over this so much; that’s likely what’s causing the headaches. Get well soon, you kind soul—and lovely photos, by the way!
ReplyDeleteRest up. Hugs, Elke.
Hello Dear Elke, thank you for the sweet words :) just get very upset at myself at the thought of letting someone down. When I say I will do something, it bothers me when I don’t or suddenly can’t do it. I am my mother’s child :) Hugs, Denise
DeleteI hope they read this and reply. the Mexican Marigolds are wonderful! I have never heard of them, but they are much prettier than the regular ones we are used to. We used to have Cosmos that we started from seeds.
ReplyDeleteMe too Ginny :) They are a pretty marigold. I only found out about them through visiting this garden. I would love to grow cosmos from seeds.
DeleteThat happens, I know this Situation in similiar too. But remembering the nice couple forward. It's important to get those in the hectic nowadays.

Dear Erica, Thank you for your kind words and comment. I very much appreciate what you say. Greetings from Denise :)
DeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos from your garden walk. The flowers are a lovely sight. I hope the couple enjoy your photos! Take care, enjoy your day!
Thanks Eileen and yes, I hope so too :) you take take care and enjoy your day also.
DeleteHopefully they see this and get in touch. Love the marigolds. I was going to buy some seeds and never got around to it
ReplyDeleteHopefully Ann :) I loved those marigolds too and it would be great to grow them from seeds.
DeleteThis kind of thing has happened to me. To many others, too, I am sure. Perhaps they will see your blog and get in touch. That seems to be the last hope. I have an app on my phone called “Keep Notes.” What I have done recently is pass the phone to them and have them type in their email information so it will be accurate and readable!
ReplyDeleteI hope so David. I will remember the keep notes feature next time, I have that too. Oh well, I think my brain cells were fried with the heat :) I will pass my phone over if this ever happens again.
DeleteGosh, the colours of the blooms are simply stunning! Bet they will be curious to check you out :-) So no worries!
ReplyDeleteThat’s the spirit, thanks so much for saying that Angie :) and aren’t those colors amazing?
DeleteYou could have airdropped the photos on the spot, but I am sure you were busy chatting and such.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! If only I had thought of it, I air drop Gregg things all the time. Thanks John! :)
DeleteBeautiful flowers. Sounds like you had a nice walk and a bonus of chatting with good people. I usually had my phone to them so they can quickly add themselves to my phone and then you can send the photo right then and there.
ReplyDeleteSandy's Space
Thanks Sandy, I am getting a lot of good advice today :) glad you liked the flowers.
DeleteHave a nice day!
ReplyDeleteThank you Anne, you too :)
DeleteThe Mexican marigolds are so pretty. I like marigolds of all descriptions. I do hope B and T read your blog and discover a way of contacting you.
ReplyDeleteI agree Janice, of all descriptions :) Thank you, I hope so too.
DeleteI know I will always see a plant I am not familiar with when I visit. Today it is Globe Artichokes and Swamp Mallow. I hope your new acquaintances read this.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sandra, I hope so too :) It is fun discovering new flowers from another’s blog. I have enjoyed doing just that :)
DeleteHope by now your headache is gone, Denise. Lovely bright spots of color on your stroll through this garden.
ReplyDeleteThank you kindly Ellen, all gone now after a good night’s sleep. Those lovely bright spots keep me going back :)
DeleteYou find the most gorgeous blooms to share....while meandering down the path
ReplyDeleteHugs cecilia
Happy you think so Cecilia :) meandering is great word for me :) Hugs, Denise
DeleteI love going in gardens with you!
ReplyDeleteThat pleases me greatly Carol, thank you :)
DeleteSo many pretty flowers. I hope the headache is better.
ReplyDeleteSweet of you to say that Mary, it is and I thank you so much. Glad you liked the flowers, there's always an abundance of them in the growing season :)
DeleteIt would be fun if they found your blog. I find people in general are so much more friendly, willing to chat and help others than it appears when you hear the news. :)
ReplyDeleteI am keeping my fingers crossed Penelope :) and I couldn’t agree more!
DeleteI do hope you will get in touch.
ReplyDeleteThank you Christine, I hope so too :)
DeletePretty garden photos! And how nice to meet people like that. I hope they follow up with you.
ReplyDeleteMaybe a good cup of tea for that headache?
Thank you Sue, it really is and I hope so too. That’s a great idea, a good cup of tea always works wonders :) thanks for the suggestion.
DeleteLovely flowers, especially the Mexican marigolds.
ReplyDeleteI do hope your headache has now gone.
All the best Jan
All gone now Jan and thank you for the sweet concern :) glad you enjoyed the flowers. They are a gorgeous color.
DeleteQue lindas flores. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteMuchas gracias, me alegra que hayas disfrutado de las flores. Te mando un beso :)
DeleteI've had people say, "give me your phone" and then they type their number into my phone. Works nicely. Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteThat’s great advice Linda, thank you so much! :)
