WHEN YOU ARE SAD MY LITTLE STAR

An old photo of mine and a favorite I have shared before.

"When you're sad my Little Star, go out of doors.  It's always better underneath the open sky."

A Countess Below Stairs.

If you click on the author's name under the quote, you will see where I got the following information from. There is a lot more to read.

"Eva Maria Charlotte Michelle Ibbotson (née Wiesner; 21 January 1925 – 20 October 2010), was an Austrian-born British novelist, known for her children's literature. Some of her novels for adults have been reissued for the young adult market. The historical novel Journey to the River Sea (Macmillan, 2001) won her the Smarties Prize in category 9–11 years, garnered an unusual commendation as runner-up for the Guardian Prizeand made the Carnegie, Whitbread, and Blue Peter shortlists. She was a finalist for the 2010 Guardian Prize at the time of her death. Her last book, The Abominables, was among four finalists for the same award in 2012.”

  3. The colors and depth on this are fabulous! so intense. And the branches in the back look like shadows!!! I've never seen that kind of effect before.

    1. Happy you enjoyed them Ginny :) I used an app years ago to turn my photo into art. I wish I could remember what it was. I wasn’t as diligent of taking notes of such things back then unfortunately.

    1. You are very welcome Janice. It is really wonderful to find out about people. This is another reason I like quotes. Not only are there some jewels out there, but an added gem is finding out who wrote them. This lady was new to me also.

  9. It’s true. Being outside is the best of all, but so few people get there on a regular basis.

  10. So true. I think almost the same thing each morning as I walk out in the woods and look up at the stars.

  13. I prefer sunshine over dark, but I do like to see the stars twinkle and since our beloved pine tree is no longer with us, actually saw the great big one that is to the left of the huge moon. and a few others too
