Look at this!
A wee doggy in its own sidecar and secured with a harness.
He even wore his own goggles, and from what I saw on the license plate, its humans bought these rides with their pooch in mind.
He looked very comfortable and at ease.
A dog in a sidecar with goggles on,
Riding down the road with
The wind not exactly blowing strong.
His ears not exactly flapping in the breeze,
but he’s living life with such ease.
The motorcycle
Roars as they go.
You can feel the dog's
Happiness as if he glows,
And with his goggles on tight,
I know he is ready for
A great adventure tonight.
I was sorry when they eventually turned left, and we drove on to Green Spring Gardens. Those photos will be shared as soon as I can put a post together.
In the meantime I hope you enjoyed seeing sweet doggy. I was amazed after doing a search online, how many photos there were of dogs riding in motorbike sidecars, all kinds of ride-alongs in fact, not just motorbikes.
that is so cute.
ReplyDeleteI thought so too :)
DeleteOh my gosh! This is so adorable. I need to show this to Art. He loves dogs.
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it enough to show to Art :)
DeleteThis is so cute, what a great day this must have been. And your poem pretty much sums it up.
ReplyDeleteIt was a highlight, first time for me seeing this :)
Delete:-)) That's pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteYes it was :)))
DeleteThe family that rides together stays together.
ReplyDeleteIndeed :)
DeleteHe is so cute. What a crazy idea,
ReplyDeleteIt's more popular an idea than I thought. People enjoy taking their dogs with them everywhere.
DeleteThis is so cool. Love the lot travelling like cool duds.
ReplyDeleteAgree :)
DeleteWonderful... thanks for the great photos. Wonderful the motorcycle with sidecar, the dog and the two. It looks so stylish... a bit like in the 60s :-)))
ReplyDeleteThe dog with the glasses is the hit...
and the motorcycle reminds me of a trip I took as a kid with my mother and uncle to Poland... I was in the sidecar!!! ... it was divine.
hug to you.
Thanks Viola
A good description :) I took a similar trip with my mother riding behind my unclel, and my sister and I in the sidecar. We were being taken to visit their mother. It was a fun ride too! Hugs from me :)
DeleteThat is so cute. I can't imagine Gibbs sitting so nicely or even leaving those goggles on.
ReplyDeleteThat thought crossed my mind how the dog was made comfortable in doing this. Lots of mini rides probably.
DeleteI much prefer dogs in side cars over the ones that ride on the bikes, that is too dangerous. these are priceless photos, and make me smile and feel happy.. now he needs a dog shaped helmet. ha ha
ReplyDeleteI agree and on the helmet too :)
DeleteA dog in a sidecar with goggles on! How cool!

Estou feliz que você gostou. Uma boa semana para ti também
DeleteI am not quite sure why we inflict this on animals. Why do we have this obsession with trying to make them into surrogate humans?
ReplyDeleteThank you for your point of view David.
DeleteFun photos, the dog must love going for a ride. Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead!
ReplyDeleteI think so Eileen. Thank you, I wish you the same :)
Deletelucky dog!
ReplyDeleteI would like to be in that side car with him :)
DeleteYou can see the smile on its face!
ReplyDeleteI thought so too :)
DeleteThese people are well organized for taking the dog for a ride.
ReplyDeleteThey certainly are. I would like to know the story behind this :)
DeleteThat is fun! I think I'd rather be in the car, myself!
ReplyDeleteMe too Jenn :)
DeleteHe must like it.
ReplyDeleteI believe he does William :) He seemed so comfortable with it all.
DeleteWow! That is adorable!!! It reminds me of a Dr. Seuss book I read to all my kids. Go, Dog, Go! Have a cozy afternoon!
ReplyDeleteThank you Billie Jo, I love Dr. Seuss. That is something I used to read to my son when he was a little boy :)
DeleteLove the sidecar and on a side note your poetic prose. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Penelope, I really appreciate that :)
DeleteI can't recall ever having seen anything like it! :o
ReplyDeleteIt was a first for me. I do remember a large poodle being pulled in a trolly years ago in Florida. That was behind a bicycle though :)
DeleteThat is the sweetest thing, Denise! You captured that lucky dog so well. Thank you for showing us something we definitely don't see very often if at all!
ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome Martha Ellen :) I enjoyed sharing also.
DeleteThat was something fun to spot on your travels! People are really serious about their furry friends!
ReplyDeleteThey certainly are :) and it was a fun thing to come across. You just never know what you will spot when traveling. Thank goodness for cell phones :)
DeleteToo cute!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree :)
DeleteBrings a smile to one's face.
ReplyDeleteThat's how we were when we saw them, smiling long after they turned left :)
DeleteCute! He is happy to be having an adventure with his favorite people.
