MORE BIRD CAM PICS...

At least the sun is shining in these photos.

Okay, so I will start off with the cheeky one again.  I don't think it's an opinion!

I have a direct line of sight to them all from where I sit when using my laptop.  There was a Carolina Wren out there a few moments ago, but I only saw it on the deck and not the rail.  Here's hoping that was his first stop and I just missed it.

Yes, I still think you are adorable!

A female Cardinal close-up, and definitely checking the camera out!
Her mate next photo.
One of the many reasons I enjoy this outside camera, it picks up the most interesting sights. For instance, the Cardinal in flight.
Next, we have a male House Finch.  He seems to be getting along with the Mourning Doves.
I do like to look at the feathers up-close, so pretty!
A few more joined in.
The White-throated sparrow was a surprise.  I haven't seen any sparrows in a long time, let alone a White-throated.  It came back for several days, always on its own.
I thought this one might be a Goldfinch, but then those that I have seen online don't appear to have that little white eye rim.  Any ideas?  Anyhow, it appears to have moved on also.  Fun for a while to see this little bird.

Added photo: 12-11-21
Martha Ellen asked what kind of birdseed we use, and I thought I would take a photo and put it below.  I am not sure where it came from as Gregg brought it home on a solo errand run some time ago.  I will ask him next chance I get as the bag is almost empty.  Thanks for asking Martha Ellen.

And thank you for visiting today's feathered friends. I appreciate all your comments.  I sometimes forget to mention that, but they are always very welcomed and enjoyable to read.

Have a great weekend everyone!

  4. Your railing sure gets busy with visitors. How fun to watch them all. I enjoy watching the squirrels too but they can clean out the bird seed in no time.

    1. Hi Anne, they certainly get greedy but I am happy to say the birds get their fair share and seem to be feeding more than the squirrels lately :)

  6. Hello Denise,
You see a great variety of birds in your yard. It is a great idea to line the deck railing with the bird food and the bird cam capturing all the pretty birds. Take care, have a great day and a happy weekend.

  7. Love 'em all. You know my passion is for the birds (Pun intended)! Yes, that is definitely an American Goldfinch in winter plumage.
My son in Houston will love that first squirrel butt (he feeds his brood every day)

  9. Cool idea to have a live camera trained on one spot. If I were to do that, I am not sure what I would see. LOL.

  11. Denise, I am in awe over that male cardinal in flight! It is fantastic! My husband enjoyed seeing it as well. We both are bird nuts. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of seed do your feathered friends prefer? We buy our seed at BJ's in a 40 pound bag. I'm seeing something yummy in your seeds that we don't offer.

    1. That’s great Martha Ellen, so happy you and your husband enjoyed :) I will take a look at the bag of seed I have in the morning and let you know. I keep it secured in our garage. All tucked up for the night right now, and the kind of mixture escapes me but I will pop on over to your blog tomorrow with the information :)

Thank you for coming over today on my blog. I've really been neglecting it lately. Have a nice weekend!

  13. What fun it is to sit and be at computer and have all that wildlife to watch! If not for the starlings I would have something almost as good.

If you get bored, go on youtube and look up ChooChoo's Story...it is a lot about chipmunks...they are just adorable. I would put a video on my blog but the short ones are 5 or 6 minutes long. Chucky was the first one...I think 2018 was when they first made friends with her. I think she is still coming.

    1. Hi Rose, I haven’t seen any starlings around in a long time. They wipe out the feeders faster than the squirrels! :)

Thank you for the name of this YouTube. I always love what you have to share on your blog and I will go over there to check out their videos. Appreciate you letting me know about them. I love those chipmunks as much as I do the squirrels.

  20. The bird watching obviously provides a lot of entertainment, Denise, especially from the cheeky squirrel. I wondered if the birds tolerate the intrusion.

    1. It certainly does Dorothy :) They usually fly away when squirrel turns up. It is an interesting dynamic with most of the tiny birds. The only ones I have seen chase others off is the Blue Jay, but since our trees were cut down, we don't see them quite as often.
