Another post from the archives. This was when we were on a mini road trip not too far from home. The weekends often finds us exploring. We came across these gorgeous horses a while back. I've decided to take an apple or two along with me next time, or a few cubes of sugar as a friend of mine suggested. We don't have to ride too far before we reach horse country.
Just look at the expression on that horses face. It just says, "I'm disgusted, where is my apple and the least you could have brought us were a few cubes of sugar? Don't come back next time without them!"
If you would like to see other Fences Around The World, or join in with your own, you will find them on Gosia's blog here.
Thank you for hosting Gosia.
Enjoy your day and have a great weekend.
Gorgeous houses behind the fence, stunning.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy the architecture of houses I see in the countryside :) Thanks Christine!
DeleteThey are just beautiful. And so friendly! Even with no treats.
ReplyDeleteThey are and were Ginny, beautiful horses in every way :)
DeleteThey are beauties. They might like carrot as well as apples and sugar.
ReplyDeleteI will remember that, thanks EC :)
DeleteIndeed what they are saying is right! Beautiful horses and good fences Denise
ReplyDeleteThank you Margaret :)
DeleteThey don't look underfed. Nice to see them come over to you.
ReplyDeleteNo they weren't, plenty of oats in that barn :) Thanks Diane!
DeleteWell I hope you do remember, Denise. How would you like to be stuck out in the cold with no food!!
ReplyDeleteGood point Valerie but happily I took these photos when the weather was quite mild :)
DeleteHello, I love the horses, they are so pretty. Great fence series. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy weekend ahead.
ReplyDeleteThank you Eileen, you too :)
DeleteLovely, serene scene!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sandi :)
DeleteThere are horse ranches here in Hawaii, but I haven't seen one in a long time. Beautiful photos, Denise.
ReplyDeleteHi Gigi, I would have enjoyed seeing them :) Thank you!
DeleteHorses can be very curious, In this case , I think you're right. They are looking for a handout.
ReplyDeleteThanks Red :)
DeleteOh this is lovely!
ReplyDeleteThank you Cloudia :)
Deleteawwww, the horses are beautiful!! but yes, i see their disgust with you, i know you won't forget next time!!!
ReplyDeletei don't stop unless i have food, i have a reputation to uphold you know!!! hehehehe
I should follow suit Debbie :) I didn't like that disgusted look they gave me, lol!
DeleteThose horses are beautiful. Horses are very dismissive if you don't have any sort of treat for them even if it is a handful of grass outside their pasture.
ReplyDeleteThanks Yogi, I tried the grass but I got the look, lol!
DeleteHa ha! Cute horse pictures!
ReplyDeleteThank you Lady Fi, glad you enjoyed :)
DeleteBeautiful horses.
ReplyDeleteAmalia

DeleteOh, they are so beautiful! Have a lovely weekend ☺
ReplyDeleteThank you Natalia, you too :)
DeleteI like to see the barns that you find on your travels and the horses are beautiful. I especially like the light brown one, but they're both friendly looking farm animals.
ReplyDeleteThey were adorable, and like you I enjoy coming across the different farms and pay particular attention to the barns and any farm animals around :)
DeleteI have always loved horses! Beautiful pictures ♥️
ReplyDeleteMe too Tanya, though I have only ridden them a few times :)
DeleteHi Denise,
ReplyDeleteSuper images of the Horses, even if you forgot the apples, they look happy enough.
All the best,
John
Thank you John and I agree, they certainly looked very comfortable and happy. All the best to you too :)
DeleteSuch beautiful horses. Have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you Liberty Belly, I hope you had a lovely weekend also :)
DeleteThey're very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThey certainly were, thanks Linda :)
DeleteFunny that I just happened to peek in while you're talking about horses. I was just telling a friend the other day that I really hate seeing people putting that bridle in their mouths and using a riding crop to hit them to make them go faster. People are really into the racing, which I understand, but as I get older, I'm really looking at life with new perspectives. The horses you've displayed are quite beautiful and able to roam free and that's wonderful. Hugs, RO
ReplyDeleteHi RO, I don't like that either. I have always felt this way my whole life. Thank you and hugs from me too :)
DeleteWhat beauties!
ReplyDeleteI agree, they are :)
DeleteThis post gave me a chuckle.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful horses though, and the light colored one in the top two shots looks like he's looking right at you.
That's great GGG, happy you had a chuckle and that you enjoyed these beautiful horses. They seemed as curious about me as I was about them :)
