We had a lovely walk around Spring Green Gardens the other day. I am sharing a few flowers and there will be other posts when I have time to put them together.
I took photos of several Peonies. This website tells us how to take care of them.
The Peonies were a little past their peak, but I still found them photo worthy.
I found one Pink Poppy. I didn't realize there were so many colors, as shown here. The only ones I have seen up to now are the red kind, and also the orange ones when we were in California.
Peonies and Pink Phlox.
Although I could not find a marker near these pretty pink flowers, this to me looks like some type of Jewelweed, and I am hoping someone can ID them for me without a doubt.
I hope you have enjoyed joining me at the gardens today, and I wish you all a happy day.
I have been ohhing and ahhing! Each photo is more stunning and beautiful than the last! I didn't know there are pink poppies. The peonies are gorgeous! This garden is fabulous, what a variety of beauty.
ReplyDeleteHi Ginny, happy you enjoyed these flowers, I always get a lot of enjoyment taking their photos. I didn't know about pink poppies either. I love this garden and enjoy going there often.
DeleteGorgeous blooms.
ReplyDeleteI have to confess that I have not yet succeeded in getting a peonie to flower. Slinking off in shame.
Thanks EC, I have never even tried growing them but am tempted. However, after reading your comment maybe I will wait a while.
DeleteBeautiful flowers, nicely shown.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda, so glad you enjoyed them.
DeleteThey are all so pretty.
ReplyDeleteThanks Margaret, always love these flowers.
DeletePink poppies? Well I never! It would be hard to choose a favourite flower from all those you photographed.
ReplyDeleteI know Valerie, I was really surprised when I came across it and had to study it hard to convince myself. It was when I saw the seed pods I knew what it was but I was still surprised.
DeleteMuito belas estas flores de jardim.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e continuação de uma boa semana.

ReplyDeleteHi Sandi, thank you!
DeleteOh I just adore the Love in the Mist, brings some happy memories of my Dad's garden. The flowers are all beautiful. Ours are sporadic when they bloom not like in England where it's always a mass of colour all the time.
ReplyDeleteJanice
How lovely Janice. I don't remember ever seeing it in the UK. Maybe they didn't grow well in our area but way back I wouldn't have had a clue.
DeleteHi Denise,
ReplyDeleteWonderful images of the flowers, they are all so beautiful.
It's such a shame that people tend to go out and pick them.
All the best, John
