ARTSY CARDINAL

Well, it has been very dull and rainy around here lately and I haven't gotten any decent bird photos.  The one above of the male Cardinal was so dark I lightened it up, but then it got very grainy.  I decided to add even more grain for an 'artsy' look.  I think I made it worse by trying but never mind.

Here's another try with the female.

Third and last try and I guess it is back to the drawing board.

I am sharing with the following memes as they become available, with thanks to Anni, and Stewart for hosting.

  7. Denise, at first I thought you were showing paintings.... how great it is that you can even get to grips with graining and such like. Well done, you.

  8. Sometimes nothing cooperates with the photographer. Yesterday I tried to identify a duck across the river. It was just out of range and I couldn't see it well enough.

  9. At last the sun is out today. I saw a Fox Sparrow last week, flying through on his way to Canada. Trying to learn my sparrows. Hard to do in the rain.

  21. They look like paintings -- you did fine! I love playing with my pictures, and someday I am just going to sit and learn what each thing does. It is usually just hit and miss for me and I never remember what I did when one turns out well.
