One spoiled little bird said "Nuh-uh!"
Unlike my little friend here who loves his birdseed.
and true to her word...
Not sure how long the snow is going to last. There will be 60 mile per hour winds so I hear, sometime in the middle of the night. Stay safe everyone!
Of course, putting the kettle on right now. And the mixing bowl is out. Just put the oven on to bake those cookies you like. Come on in, pull up a chair!
on a Saturday Morning at the Bird Feeder.
Thanks for visiting and
I wish you all a great weekend.

DeleteCute and lovely, Denise. You always make me smile.
ReplyDeleteThank you Margaret, your smile brings my smile. Thank you :)
DeleteCute birds and captions! The squirrel missing fur on it's tail is a little strange.
ReplyDeleteIt is supposed to be very windy and cold here, take care and stay safe.
Take care, have a great weekend.
Thank you Eileen :) and I have never seen a squirrel without fur on its tail before. I looked what might be the reasons and I will share that sometime. You take care also. We heard a tree had come down a couple of miles away but we're not seeing the wind yet.
DeleteYour critters are very chatty. I hope you and they have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteThey are way too chatty on a Saturday morning John ;) So far our weekend has gone well and I hope yours has too.
DeleteGreat Denise. Love little Spike but wonder what is going on with his tail? Have a good weekend :-D
ReplyDeleteThank you Ananka. There are several reasons given which might be the reason for Spike's hairless tail. I'll share some of them soon :)
DeleteOh my gosh, the outfit on the squirrel is too cute. That will surely keep him warm. I don't know why the birds wouldn't want a warm winter outfit as well. Their loss.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ann, it will keep him warm I'm sure :) Those birds are way too cool for school, lol!
DeleteAnother sweet post for our Saturday smiles.
ReplyDeleteJust so lovely . . . thank you.
All the best Jan
PS Stay warm and safe in the continued bad weather
Very happy you think so Jan, thank you so much :) And thank you for the stay warm and safe wishes, I very much appreciate your concern. I hope all goes well with you over there and wish you the same. All the best, Denise

DeleteCute!
ReplyDeleteThank you Christine :)
DeleteDenise what a fun fun time around the back yard. OMB's they are lucky there is seed in the feeders. I filled mine up before today's predicted arctic blast with 40mph winds.
ReplyDeleteI adore the little squirrel's winter AI attire well done
Hugs Cecilia
Yuck Cecilia, sounds like you're going to be getting a dose of more bad weather too. We're still waiting to see if it comes. Thought it was last night and it was a bit windy but not as bad as we thought. It's supposed to get windy tonight, so we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed. Glad you liked the squirrel's winter AI attire. Amazing what they can do I have to say. Hugs, Denise
DeleteAnother weather blast headed your way? Stay cozy and warm, Denise!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ellen, as I write this at 7:26 p.m., it's all quiet out there :)
DeleteSpike looks pretty comfortable in his knits! It is cool that you have a squirrel that you can identify from the others.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jim and I agree. He always delights me when he comes to the feeder. Maybe it's an age thing. At least my husband thinks so because he's enjoying them too, lol!
DeleteSnowing here today. Birds busy emptying the feeders.
ReplyDeleteSounds like down here Marcia :)
DeletePoor Spike. I hope his fur grows back.
ReplyDeleteThanks Janice, I do too :)
DeleteYour squirrel is so cute! I cleared a path to my birdfeeders earlier this week and they’re out there munching away in spite of the cold wind.
ReplyDeleteHe is a cute one :) We had a lot of birds at our feeder. I'm wondering if they know the bad weather is coming again and are stocking up to wait it out later.
DeleteI have never seen a squirrel with a tail like this! The little outfit you gave him is hilarious, especially the tail covering! What do you think happened to him? I hope you stay safe in the windstorm! Let me know afterward how it all went and if you got any damage. Of course we are to get the same thing, as we do not live that far away from you.
ReplyDeleteI haven't either and glad you liked his outfit. It gave me a chuckle with it was put together. I am not sure what happened, but I have been online and a few reasons were given. Thankfully he is not in any discomfort. You stay safe too. I'll be checking in to see if all is well with you out there :)
DeleteThat was so cute. I loved the squirrel's jacket! I fed the birds, but no snow here.
ReplyDeleteHappy you thought so Sandie, thank you :) Hopefully you will miss any snow this winter.
DeleteOh my, Spike really knows how to make an entrance! I love how each little bird has its personality, do you ever talk to them while they’re eating, or do you just let them do their thing? That wind sounds wild; stay cozy and safe! I hope your weekend is filled with warm tea and delicious acorn cookies. Visit www.melodyjacob.com to view the new travel post I just shared.
ReplyDeleteHe certainly does Melody :) Well, only in my little stories on a Saturday morning :) then there's a continual conversation back and forth, lol! Thank you for the good wishes for this weekend. I'll be visiting you as soon as I have pressed the publish button here.
DeleteDenise, you are wonderful! I really enjoyed this.
ReplyDeleteNow you have made my day Jenn, thank you! And I say the same about you :)

ReplyDeleteI am wondering too Jeanie and determined to find out :)
