That's how it goes on a Saturday Morning at the Bird Bowl, I mean Bird Feeder. A bit of a moan-y one, but I think next week they will get a welcome surprise.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Thanks for flying by.
Thank you so for taking the time to leave a comment. I enjoy reading them very much and always try to return a visit. As I do monitor comments it may take a while for them to appear, even quite late depending on what is going on and how much time I am able to spend on the computer.
I appreciate all who look at my blog, but I won't be publishing any businesses. If you are only able to publish anonymously, would you sign your name please, and leave an addy so I can return your visit where possible? Thank you!
Wow! That is a long stretch for that squirrel. I used to LOVE watching the squirrels in our backyard when we lived in Illinois.
ReplyDeleteSome of them can be very big and really stretch out. They are fun to watch Kay, and they get mad at each other too at times. First time I heard their urgent, agitated chirping, I thought they were birds and then I saw one actually doing it. They are funny to watch :)
DeleteI do believe if squirrels could talk, they would talk loudly and a lot!! A pair of goldfinches!
ReplyDeleteYes me too Ginny :) The goldfinches are coming around quite a lot these days.
DeleteWhat a cute little squirrel!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful Saturdays of normalcy at the poultry farm!!
Have a wonderful weekend Denise!!
He is very cute, thank you Katerina :) Thank you and you have a wonderful weekend also :)
DeleteA lot of chatter from the squirrel then it seems Denise.
ReplyDeleteYes Margaret , there are times when they are very loud and noisy :)
DeleteHello Denise,
ReplyDeleteLove the cute photos and captions. The goldfinches are so cute. Have a great weekend.
Very happy you do Eileen :) Thank you, and from the goldfinches especially, you have a great weekend too.
DeleteThe birds will be queuing up next week!
ReplyDeleteThey certainly will :)
DeleteThe community bowl.
ReplyDeleteA great description :)
DeleteThe bird bath is as fun to visit as the feeder. I always enjoy hearing the chatter going on there.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ann, very glad you do and always appreciated :)
DeleteThings are cooling off here in SD, time for us to start filling our feeders again!
ReplyDeleteIt seems to be on a lot of our minds lately :)
DeleteCool post!
ReplyDeleteI appreciate that Anne, thank you :)
DeleteCute critters! Goldfinches are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteThank you Angie and I agree, goldfinches are very pretty :)
DeleteThat squirrel...hilarious. Happy last Saturday of Summer!
ReplyDeleteSquirrels can be very comedic even when they don’t say anything :)
DeleteI can hardly wait for the surprise!
ReplyDeleteWell, let’s just say it will be for them, not sure about us ;)
DeleteMOL BOL BOL every buddy wants their meal on time...but alas all have to practice patience when we don't have thumbs.
ReplyDeleteHugs Cecilia
That they do Cecilia, that they do :) LOL! Hugs, Denise xo
DeleteI had an abundance of red squirrels forever but then a few years ago they disappeared. I have been seeing a few again this year. They've been digging up my potted flowers! We will be swarmed by migrating birds too. They stopped to strip the berries from the dogwoods before resuming their flight south.
ReplyDeleteThat’s interesting about your dogwood berries :) I have new potted plants but they haven’t found them in there yet.
DeleteFunny!
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine :)
DeleteNice. They look good. Friendly :-D
ReplyDeleteThanks Ananka, and very entertaining :)
DeleteThis is so charming. I love the idea of a "Bird Bowl" filled with gossipy birds. It's so true that they can be quite a chatty crowd. I wonder what their surprise will be—maybe a new kind of seed? Thanks for sharing this fun glimpse into your Saturday morning.

Much appreciated Melody :) and you are very welcome. Glad you enjoyed!
DeleteLovely and fun, dear Denise, thank you so much! I am late responding, made a blog post in urgence about our upcoming bus strike, so much on my mind.
ReplyDeleteYour post is like a breath of fresh air, dear friend!
Thank you my dear friend. I am very happy you like it :) I am sorry about your. Bus strike, I hope they resolve it quickly.
DeleteI wonder what they think you are. You show up frequently with food and water. :)
ReplyDeleteI never thought about it before Sandi :)
DeleteLove to watch the squirrels. My dad always battled with them over the bird seed. But I would rather feed everybody. ;) They remind me sometimes of an old man shaking his fist and shouting at kids in his yard--lol!
ReplyDeleteThey are fun aren’t they? I never saw squirrels where I grew up. Maybe I didn’t pay enough attention :) but I sure do now. I love your example, put a smile on my face. Thank you!
DeleteLindos pájaros. ten un buen sábado.
ReplyDeleteMuchas gracias. Me alegra que hayas disfrutado de las aves. Te deseo un feliz fin de semana.
DeleteHappy Saturday at the bird bowl. Life is good. And yes, winter is coming. I think that of the two local bunnies that were indoor bunnies and then got out and now they run around outside all day. Winter is coming. But not today. Today is a boooootteeeful autumn day here. Hope it is there too 🎃
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday to you too Ivy. I love the story of your two indoor/outdoor bunnies.Good to know you are having a beautiful Autumn day. It is very rainy here but I like a rainy day at times :)
DeleteThere's always something happening.
ReplyDeleteNice to see the squirrel and the beautiful gold-finches.
