I am sharing a few favorites today, from a trip several years ago, to the Nisqually State Park in Washington State. I didn't know the names of the flowers back then, but thanks to my plant app I have been able to ID them.
These pretty flowers were everywhere. The yellow flowers are Bird's foot trefoil, the pinks are Alsike clover and the purple flowers are Cow Vetch. A close up of the Bird's foot trefoil is in the photo below.
The next flower is a Nootka rose.
Next is the Broadleaf arrowhead, followed with...
Another pretty pink is the Western Spirea.
Lastly, the Himalayan blackberry.
I didn't have much time to type all the information, but I have provided the links on each name. They will take you to more information on that particular flower.
Thanks for looking and have a great day.
They are all lovely Denise.
ReplyDeleteThank you Margaret :)
DeleteSo dainty and pretty. I have never seen any of them. I want this plant app, which one is it?
ReplyDeleteIt's called 'Picture This' but there is a fee. I found this review, there are pros and cons but over the time I have had it, about a year now, I am very happy with it.

DeleteThese are unique flowers, Denise. Flowers are the magic in our lives, and it's nice to get ourselves a bouquet from time to time, for no reason at all. ; )
ReplyDeleteHave a sweet day.

ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome Ellen, I'm glad I was able to identify some of your flowers.
DeleteThat's so neat you can identify these plants from a trip you took to Washington state, Denise. I recognise a couple we have here as well. Lovely photos as always, my friend.
ReplyDeleteThank you Martha Ellen, happy to see you after your blogging break :)
DeleteAll beautiful, Denise. A lovely walk/park!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jeanie, it certainly was :)
DeleteI love the plant ID on my phone, although it failed to distinguish box elder from poison ivy.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, curious as to what plant app you use. If you read this could you let me know. Ginny asked about mine and am interested in others too so that I can let her know.
DeleteBeautiful photos. My favorite is the pink spirea. Very unusual, and a lovely color.
ReplyDeleteI was going to ask you what app you use, but see you have already provided a link,
Thank you Great-Granny G., the spirea is beautiful! Yes, my app is Picture This. I'm happy with it and enjoy learning many new flowers. I get a rare zero but that is often because I don't have a clear enough photo.
DeleteBrilliant photos and I really need to get that ID app! We've been walking in that park and it is lovely.
ReplyDeleteHi Sallie, thank you so much and how lovely that you have enjoyed walking here. That brought a smile as I loved the place and feel blessed we were able to visit :)
