This is one of my all-time favorite photos. The flower is a Spider Hibiscus. It is native to tropical East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania and Mozambique), and was hanging in the garden of our vacation rental in Hawaii, several years ago now. It popped up on my side bar recently. I thought it would be fun to use the ArtCard app on my iPad. The results have been very interesting. Which is your favorite?
1. Original photo.
Tour de force! I enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteSo glad Cloudia, thank you :)
DeleteFirst, I have never heard of this flower!! I can see the resemblance to a spider. I agree with Gregg on the favorite. Also 3 & 7. You really have so many different and very cool looks!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy you enjoyed them Ginny, it's fun to play with the different effects :)
DeleteIt certainly is a beautiful flower, prefer the first one and the last if different...you have been busy playing with lovely results Denise.
ReplyDeleteThank you Margaret, so glad you enjoyed them :)
DeleteThat is a beauty - and I love the fun you had. I think I prefer the first though.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sue, it is always hard to do better than the original :)
DeleteI like the 3rd one the most.
ReplyDeleteThank you Angie, fun to read what everyone likes :)
DeleteWow, this is a beautiful flower. I can't pick a favorite because I like so many of them. I do prefer the color ones over the black and white though.
ReplyDeleteOn vacation I passed it by several times and just had to take its photo on our way out of the rental that last day :) So glad I did.
DeleteBeautiful flower and lovely images. Take care, enjoy your day!

DeleteIt is simply amazing all the fun and special effects that can be realized from these art apps, Denise, as you have shown. I enjoyed too many to list.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is and am happy you enjoyed all the effects :)
DeleteI think number 3 is my favorite, they are all beautiful art pieces. Selby gardens has several of these and they are huge. they are like a hedge on the outside of the entrance to the gardens. that is the only place I have ever seen them.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandra, I would love to see them at Selby gardens :)
DeleteThat's stunning. The various filter treatments are really fun, too!
ReplyDeleteHappy you enjoyed Jeanie :)
DeleteThat is a fun idea! I cannot choose!
