He was keeping his eyes open to see if he could find any birds for me at the garden. However, apart from a few Canada Geese which I always welcome, I didn't take any photos of any other feathered friends. They proved elusive! Maybe next time.
There were lots of other things to see and I am putting together a post to be shared very soon. I haven't had much time for the computer, so am a bit slow getting one done.
Thank you for the many comments you have been leaving. Always a lovely part of blogging reading them, and visiting your blogs which always gives me a smile.
The tin frog above has been a part of Meadowlark Gardens for many years. He resides in the children's garden and you may remember him from other posts. If I could find one like him I would be tempted to put him in our own garden. He has become like an old dear friend I visit whenever I get over there.
Thanks for always stopping by. I hope your upcoming weekend will be happy and healthy, and that you will enjoy the rest of your week.
He is adorable!
ReplyDeleteAgree :) Thanks Linda!
DeleteThey have the frog on Amazon, but he is one hundred and sixteen dollars! He is cute! I hope things are well with you.
ReplyDeleteAh well, he won't be finding a home in my garden for a while. Thanks for checking for me Ginny :)
DeleteIt is always lovely to meet up with an old friend.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is :) Thanks Sue!
DeleteThere is just something nice about frogs in the garden area..
ReplyDeleteYours is lovely.
I agree Margaret :) I have always enjoyed frogs, since I was a little girl and used to bring them home for my mom to see. She was thrilled, lol! I had to take them straight back.
DeleteI appreciate your blog posts and comments on my blog. (Often I get behind reading and commenting due to some busyness at home or trying to produce a blog post). The frog is very cute. It's nice to visit places and see 'old friends' in the garden ornaments there.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy visiting your blog Linda, you have the most delightful photos of the English countryside, and your pretty garden :) Getting behind is very easy to do, I think many of us can relate. Thank you!
DeleteHe's really cute. I would be tempted to buy him if I saw him for sale too
ReplyDeleteHi Ann, I hope he does go on sale from what Ginny told us :)
DeleteOhhhhh, be still my heart. He would fit in our back yard perfectly.
ReplyDeleteYours and mine both Anni. He would love lovely in your back yard :)
DeleteHello Denise,
ReplyDeleteThe tine frog is cute. I have been out many times when the birds are elusive, but nature provides many things to see if we look. Take care, enjoy your day!
Thanks Eileen, glad you enjoyed my froggy friend :) So true about nature. You take care and enjoy your day also.
DeleteSo cool!
ReplyDeleteThank you Anne :)
DeleteOf course, our fondness for frogs (and penguins) is known, Denise, so this one would be perfect except for two things, we no longer have a garden and the cost is a tad high😕 Still it’s nice that it’s always a welcoming sight on your garden visits. And yes we all get behind with blog reading as life has other plans many times.
ReplyDeleteYes indeed, he is always at the garden :) and life does take us away from our blogs at times. Always catching up these days.
DeleteThat tin frog has such terrific personality! I know what you mean about elusive birds! The only ones I seem to see at the lake are geese, ducks and the heron. Perhaps the others are all flying high above my view!
ReplyDeleteHe certainly does, a wonderful personality. You and I are seeing the same birdlife Jeanie :)
DeleteThe frog would be a great addition to any garden. So cute :)
ReplyDeleteTotally agree Sami, thank you :)
DeleteI love that darling frog, Denise! Reminds me to always be on the lookout for the beauty that surrounds me. I must admit to being a little afraid when I'm startled in the garden by one, though. He looks to be of the friendly sort! Have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't have put it better myself Martha Ellen. I haven't seen any frogs in our garden for a long time. There have been sightings of snakes in the area, that might account for it. You have a nice weekend also :)
DeleteThis is sooo cute!
ReplyDeleteI agree :) thanks Christine :)
DeleteI see why you like him and want one for your own garden.
ReplyDeleteHe's on my wish list :) Thanks Ellen :)
DeleteI love garden ornaments, they are almost as nice as the real plants, and the children's gardens are usually full of them.
ReplyDeleteHi Yogi, they do add something don't they? :)
DeleteVery cute!
ReplyDeleteI thought so too, thanks William :)
DeleteIt's sometimes tough to write a post when you don't have a good topic.
ReplyDeleteVery true, thanks Red :)
DeleteThe froggie is adorable!
ReplyDeleteI agree, I love him :). Thanks Jenn!
