With so much going on in the world to make us not want to smile, I hope this post at least brings a little one.

When the weather suits you not,

Try smiling.

When your coffee isn't hot,

Try smiling.

When your neighbors don't do right,

Or your relatives all fight,

Sure 'tis hard, but then you might

Try smiling.

Doesn't change the things, of course-

Just smiling.

But it cannot make them worse-

Just smiling.

And it seems to help your case,

Brightens up a gloomy place,

Then, it sort o' rests your face-

Just smiling.

The face of man was built for smiles,

So smile an' don't forget to smile,

'Twill help you all along the way,

Yes, I know, it is hard to smile right now, but let’s give the first person we see today a smile, and maybe they will pass it on.
