An optimist is a driver who thinks that empty space at the curb won't have a hydrant beside it.

Thank you so for taking the time to leave a comment. I enjoy reading them very much and always try to return a visit. As I do monitor comments it may take a while for them to appear, even quite late depending on what is going on and how much time I am able to spend on the computer.
I appreciate all who look at my blog, but I won't be publishing any businesses. If you are only able to publish anonymously, would you sign your name please, and leave an addy so I can return your visit where possible? Thank you!
I like the quote! That's a pretty hydrant, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ginny, I thought so too :)
DeleteOh yes. Or like my partner one who believes (and is often right) that a very crowded parking lot will have a park just for him close to the door.
ReplyDeleteNow that is a very optimistic partner you have there EC :)
DeleteYou have a lot of hydrants?
ReplyDeleteWe do Valerie, on every street and sometimes more than one if it is a very long street. My neighbor's across the street has one, the only one, on our street.
DeleteThey are used for the fire engines if there are any fires. You peaked my curiosity so I went to YouTube to find out how one works. You can see the video here:

Dowcipne ale w taki upał ja dziś nie ma lepszego widoku niż widok hydrantu;)) Pozdrawiam:)
ReplyDeleteHydrant przeciwpożarowy ochłodziłby wszystkich w naszej gorącej, wilgotnej pogodzie :)
DeleteHello, that is a great quote! Wishing you a happy day!
ReplyDeleteThank you Eileen, you too :)
DeleteGostei da citação e aproveito para desejar um bom Feriado.

Muito obrigado e desejo-lhe uma boa semana :)
DeleteSo true...or a handicapped marking or driveway entrance as well, Denise.
ReplyDeleteAgreed Dorothy :)
DeleteHaha ... what a perfectly understandable explanation of "optimism" ... and such a beautiful home and fire hydrant!!!
ReplyDelete:-) Thank you Penelope. The building is the museum I went to a few weeks ago on the University of Virginia.
DeleteGood quote!
ReplyDeleteThank you William, I liked it too and it tickled my funny bone :)
DeleteHi Denise,
ReplyDeleteLove the quote, over in England its a case of "the empty space will be without a parking meter".
All the best,
John
So glad John, we all have our versions don't we? :) All the best to you too.
Deletesounds great
ReplyDeleteIt is a good lesson. Greetings Gosia :)
DeleteI love the photo!
ReplyDeleteSo glad Christine, I rather liked it too. Nice when a photo comes out well, especially of something simple like a fire hydrant :)
