YELLOW ROSES

Thank you for all the get-well wishes for Gregg. He still has a cough but is a whole lot better than he was and is on the mend. I have had no similar symptoms and at the same time, keeping fingers crossed. I hope you are all okay out there.

Today I am sharing a few bright and cheerful yellow roses.

On a whim, this being quite a while ago now as these are from my archives, I saw one particular bouquet of yellow roses at the local supermarket and decided to treat myself.

After putting all the groceries away, I took them outside into the sunlight. I liked how the green from the leafy branches of the trees looked in the background, especially in that top photo.

I read that in America and western Europe, yellow roses symbolize friendship and joy. In other countries they have other meanings, like enlightenment and wisdom for instance.

I was very happy to find these roses again. I hope you enjoy them too.

    1. And that makes me happy dear Elke :) I very much appreciate your kind words. Thank you! I am so sorry you struggle with hay fever. That can be quite debilitating. I have family members who have the same problem and I see what they go through. I hope yours goes away soon. You have a good day also, hugs Denise.

  5. Makes me think of the Yellow Rose of Texas song. I wonder when I last hear it. I think it was quite popular about 75 yers ago because I associate it with being a very young boy.

  11. So glad that he's feeling better and that you didn't catch it. Hope you don't.

Doing okay here. Tomorrow back for more dental work and I set aside a nice full day of nothing to do and nowhere to be. Just in case I need more sleep. Still fighting mild infection in my mouth. Though not anywhere near what it was.

Headed to your other posts to do a little catching up.

    1. Thanks Ivy, so far, so good. I hope tomorrow goes well. Get as much rest as you can. Those kind of visits take it out of you, especially with you dealing with an infection on top of that. I will be thinking of you :)

    2. Thanks. I have the entire day booked for vegging out when I get home. Got a bunch of the back deck sanded yesterday and that makes me happy. Figure I'll get back to it over the weekend.

  18. The yellow roses are beautiful. Flowers are so expensive here now that we hardly ever buy them but my niece gave me some when they visited and they are still alive. Glad to hea that Gregg is on the mend.
